Holy mother of God, no.

My Sega Mega CD broke. This is awful. It never got used much, because most of the time, I don't have time for games, but when I do, oh, when I do...

I looked inside it. It's certainlt getting power. The board that receives the power definately has ir all, but it doesn't seem to be getting transmitted to the mother board or disc tray. The AC adaptor is a 9 volt, but gives 14 volts, but it is not uncommon for an AC adaptor to give a few more volts than it says.

And, they...

Arse Biscuits

I just got a slap off Emily for using up all the milk. It hurts.

BUT, my spirits are lifted by my discovery of the new Futurama feature-length. It certainly wasn't bad. Pretty funny. And the greatest thing - it is Bender based. God bless Bender.

Is 'The Beast with a Billion Backs' out yet? The leaflet in the DVD box says it is, but I can't find it anywhere.

Fucking Awesome

I just found out that my DreamCast doesn't have a regional lockout system OR a lockout system for burnt/copied discs. So, as you can imagine, I've had a bit of a download spree recently (for DC ISOs). Awesome. My favorite one so far is 'Resident Evil Code Veronica'. 'Sonic Shuffle' sucked horribly.

But the best game for the DreamCast (which was packaged with my dreamcast in a bundle - DC, Sonic Adventure, Tomb Raider 4, some racing game and Virtua Football), is Sonic Adventure. Best...

Fucking Awesome

In the space of a week, I found two of my what I thought were forever lost gaming consoles - the SNES and the Sega Mega CD. I have to say, pretty much the only decent games I have for the Mega CD are Sonic CD and Earthworm Jim Special Edition.

But man, are there a lot of gems I have for the SNES. Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, MegaMan X, Super Bomberman, Super Metroid, but best of all:
Super Noah's Ark 3D. It is fucking awesome. You plug Super Mario World or any other game...

Oh Dear v2.1c

Posted 07-19-2008 at 02:31 AM by OddjobAbe
My cousin 'accidentally' regurgitated upon my Jason movie collection. Come on, there's a bathroom next to the bedroom, he could have easily rushed in there like I do when I'm a 'bit tipsy'. He shouldn't have been snooping around the bedroom anyway.

Rotten luck seems to have stuck my family yet again.

Oh Dear

Posted 07-18-2008 at 08:06 AM by OddjobAbe
My nephew went to my brother's farm to visit him. Unfortunately, my brother is not the sharpest tool in the shed, and taught our eleven year old nephew to use a chainsaw (according to my brother's wife).

So, as the story goes according to Louise (my brother's wife), my brother got useless furniture out of the garage and put them in the (empty) barn to let my nephew cut up (total imbecile).

Anyway, long story short, my brother's cat was in one of the cupboards that my nephew...

Great Pudding

Well, my wife will be getting twice the care (and washing up) she usually does tonight (trust me, that's hell of a lot), as her fantastic cooking skills finally kicked in, and instead of eating a microwave meal, my tea was a beautifully cooked dish.

It's things like this it's good to have a wife for. My own terrible culinary skills would cause me food poisoning, or would be so sharp or over cooked, they'd cause my throat haemorrhaging.
Of course, then there's more sentimental...

Awesome

My wife has earned even more of my respect for her efforts to please me. Not only has she tried to, but she succeeded. She got her hands on the only Night Court DVD available apart from the TV Favorites release (to my knowledge, anyway), and the both of them are only available in the US (again, to my knowledge, anyway).

Now, if spending money on something that we both can enjoy sat on the sofa with a cocktail, or layed in bed with a beer isn't a great thing to do, then I don't know...

Shenmue

Posted 06-01-2008 at 01:53 AM by OddjobAbe
I was just picking through the loft the other day and came across my old Dreamcast, so I plugged it in and decided to play for a bit.

I found a game that I didn't remember buying called Shenmue. As soon as I plugged it in, I began to remember the game. I used to hate it. I seemedd to enjoy it this time around. Probably because it was something different.

I appear to be moving through the game too quickly, so I'm thinking that I should restart the whole thing to pick up...

Raise

Posted 05-28-2008 at 07:47 AM by OddjobAbe
My boss got married, and he was so happy, he decided to give me and my colleagues a raise (in my part-time job, not my doctoring job).

Well, with my new found wealth, I have bought two things (it really isn't too big a raise, so I don't get much more money than before, but still, not bad going, eh?):

A Yanagisawa tenor sax (been after one of those for a very long time).

A keg full of Budweiser.

Thank God for raises.
