Game Progress

I am figuring out a way to make abes walk one step if the key is tapped or walk continuasly until the key is released. This may take a while, but i may post graphics updates if i need a break.

Mines work correctly!

I have now included a mine to show you how, it looks and sounds when it blows up. Just walk into it.

The explosion effect is not as detailed as it is a vector animation, in other words, it dosent use pixels but puts less strain on your computers performance.

Just a quick thing I just noticed, make the buttons on the main menu inactive while Abe is still coming out of the hole. Otherwise if you click too early the animation jumps to 'ok'.

i havent updated the game much in a while, so, to say sorry, i made a remix of "Approaching the Boiler" from Abes Exoddus, its my first time making a full remix and ive only used Adobe Soundbooth to edit music and sound effects for this game.

I remember when I was helping a fan game before until my PC died one day >.< I don't visit these forums much anymore because of that but I still check around. I got some artwork I wouldn't mind showing but I don't think it would be necessary... >.>

The remix was ok (I'm not so good at remixing, better at making stuff from scratch) but it really isn't that well done. I might attempt a remix at that though seeing how simple the song is.

BTW, I also make music. So I'm a 2d/3D Graphical artist and a musician now.... >.> Kinda braggin' xD

Anyway, Keep up the work!

I know about the respawning, is it just the cloud that dosent look good or all of it? It cant look the same as Abe or the Background because it's a completely different type of graphics, and theres no other way of doing it.

I only use Fruity Loops Studio 8 so far and right now as I speak I'm waiting for Reason 4, I ordered it and should be here in a day or 2. and thanks mate, Haven't been making music for a year and I'm already good! xD

Its the 8th now in UK to, but I haven't gone to sleep yet, so its 7th for me.

Update
BlackVenom is creating the backgrounds to go behind the foregrounds I have done and hopefuly some more decal to make the screens look more "damaged", they look good, ill post the fourth screen as soon as it is completed.

Iv'e Done 3 backgrounds so far. Spent hours making all of them entirely from scratch and using a few references for help on the designs ideas. The flooring in each scene won't stay there because Joshkrz is going to be making the entire foreground, I've only put it there to show him where they are supposed to go.



[EDIT]

I made 2 new scene backgrounds that join together vertically. These might be used in the game later as a secret area. I'm only putting these here to show that we are still doing something... xD
