About the story lines being the best and such, I'd say they were all about equal. Stranger's Wrath had a story line with quite some twists, and definitely a lot of original ideas. Munch's Oddysee introduced many new species and it showed that the industrial "world" so to speak was much crueler than we thought originally (with testing on fuzzles and such.) And Abe's story (AO and AE) were a kind of straght forward story telling about your average worker, being oppressed by their "employers" and being forced to work in some pretty harsh conditions. But then when the large conflict arises where Molluk is going to turn his workers into Mudokon Pops that's when Abe was chosen by destiny to do the right thing and be savior of the mudokons, whether he liked it or not.

Now I understand that the things stated above might not have been accurately represented, but what I'm trying to get accross is that I enjoyed all the story lines, and all the games.

and about the Lulu fund thing. without it, you would be missing about half the game and then people wouldn't be playing it very long. It'd end up on the "Quickies" list of video games. But, this is all just my opinion. Not fact, but not fiction either.

My tongue-in-cheek objection to the Lulu fund was primarily a dig at the difference between the result (which seems a pretty standard, if dull, video-game mechanic) and the original intention, which was to have Abe and Munch visit a series of factories that Lulu was the boss of and turn a profit so that he gets promoted (eventually) to Glockstar. That would have been fun and new. Lulu Fund is merely... adequate.

Oh well, no use crying over split malk.

I disagree. I think it was not Stranger's Wrath, but rather Abe's Oddysee. Just an opinion, though.
That's okay.

I'm going with Arxryl on this one. The storylines were really good on the perpective of telling a nice story, but also really focused around their orginal conflicts. Even the original MO storyline was great beyond reason.

But I do believe that we can all agree that the Oddworld storylines are better than most video game stories.

On the subject of Munch's Oddysee, I am really starting to think that the plot of the orginal one was really complex, maybe a little too complex. I mean, the conflict would be that Munch needed to save his race from extinction. Yet the plot would jump everywhere. Munch would use his experiment powers of obtaining strength and his ability to talk to wildlife to get him far. He would also be helped by his friend Abe to get him into the factories, communicate with other natives, and get his personal guardain. They would also try to get the last can of Gabbiar by making an idoit raise up to the top, by wiping out his competion by restoring Mudokon villages, detory nearby factories, and eliminating work forces in the factories. Yet they would have to watch the progression of Mullock's trial, access Rupture Farms, save Sam, and save many other natives. Eventually this all leads up into the conclusion that we all know.

Kind of seems like that this truly is an Oddysee. Now why did I bring this up? I don't really know. I guess I was trying to point out all of the things that MO could have really had an interesting story. Yeah, but like Doggie boy had said, no use for crying over split milk.

Was that really the original idea? I have never heard that, though it sounds awesome! I would have loved to experienced that.
Something that I usually do while playing Munch's Oddysee is imagine what each individual level may have been like, before the massive change and 'taking-outs' of things. It get's you wondering how cool Munch's Oddysee would have been, considering (to me at least, and I know not many others think this) it really was quite a cool game as it is.
But yeah, that would have been sweet, Nate.

Edit:

Yeah, but that's kinda what Abe does...

When TOS comes back online, you should check out Paul O'Connor's designer diaries for MO. They're the source of almost all that we know about the original game.

Yeah. the story lines are much better than most other games... Super Mario Brothers (original NES) we are pointing at you.

And it would have been really cool to go through Lulu's job sites to increase his profit instead of what they had.
And as you said, no you crying over spilt milk.
