I really don't like mobile phones, but that's just me. Part of my job is to speak to customers on the phone, and I find it very rude when they have called you for assistance and then a few minutes into the conversation they go and answer their mobile. I remember once a customer done this and he forgot about me and started talking to his friend!!!
Other than that I find them distracting, plus I don't like being called when I am doing something or out. So if someone needs to get in contact with me, they would just have to do so by normal phone or email. The only thing I like about mobile phones is SMS... as you can contact someone if you need to and it isn't really distracting. Oh yeah and they would be handy in emergencies.
Oh yeah, I can remember this funny story that I was told when mobile phones were just becoming popular (but still somewhat expensive so not many people had them). Anyway this guy was sitting in a cafe "talking" on his mobile phone. But then all of a sudden his mobile actually started to ring. He was so embarrassed that the phone rang while he was "pretending" to be trendy and have a conversation in public. I wonder if next time he tried that if he remembered to turn his phone off!!!
