In Abe's Exoddus, the tone of Abe's voice is determined by his status, the equivalent of "quarma" for Munch's Oddysee. When the game begins, Abe's status (number of saved muds - number of killed muds) is zero, so he is neutral. That's why he says "hello"in a neutral tone. If you start killing muds, his status will become negative, and he will say "hello" in a depreesed voice. If you start to rescue muds, his status will become positive, and he will say "hi!" in a happy or excited tone. Every time you cross the positive - neutral - negative status, Abe changes his tone of voice.
