Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25th of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). On that day, fans around the universe proudly carry a towel in his honour.

I'll have you know I only use my towel to wrap around my head to fend off attacks from the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, though sometimes I suck on the corners I have soaked in a nutrient supplement for sustenance and antidepressants for the taste.
