>>Mitsubishi Cs35405 - Shrunken From Top And Bottom, changed vert. ic and caps, bulletin?
Hey Gregg ,
They are talking about Mitsubishi Bulliten Ctv-78
Put a .01 Cap On Pin 36 Of Ic700 To Ground. This is to prevent data corruption.
Most of the time all the Eprom Settings are lost. Sometimes just poor color or reduced Hor/Vert/Pcc,ECT.
If thats the case then you will need to adjust Vht (Vertical Ht.),Pam (E-W Parabola Pcc-Amp),
Hwd (Horizontal Width),Vsc (Vert Lin), Vsh (Vert Position), Pph (Pincushion Phase) via the Service Menu.
If it's only the reduced vertical then Set Vsc To 2 And Vht To 100 as a base setting.
Vht (Vertical Height) Is Item Number 10 if thats maxed out then thats not you problem
To Enter Service Mode, Use Customers Remote. Press In Sequence Menu, 2, 3, 5, And 7.
Use Video Button To Change Item, Audio Button To Adjust. Press Enter Button When Done
To Save Adjustments. Press Menu Button Twice To Leave Service Mode.
If this is not your problem keep in mind the B+ for the vert is on the SMPS it's not scan derived.
The B+ Comes From D9560 And R9560 on the Power Supply board. Check all SMPS caps also.
If you don't have an ESR meter just change ALL of the caps mention in this post.
Below are some tips from mits for this model. I did a service call on one of these awhile back
and I brought the board back and changed all the caps and vert ic and even checked it with
a spare 35" tube at the shop and all was good. When I returned to reinstall the board I had the
same problem,Reduced Vertical. Turned out in that instance the yoke was bad,PART # YSM-93058A
Good luck
