BioShock - No doubt has the best art direction, but that doesn't make it GotY. Also, has no replay value after a mere two playthroughs. Lose.
HL2: Ep 2 - Expansion packs don't count, even really good ones. Lose.
Portal - Despite my rampant fanboyism for this game, it's only two hours long, and the challenges you unlock after you beat the full game do little to extend its life. Lose.
TF2 - Cool art direction. Multiplayer only. Lose.
Orange Box (overall) - Will never win, no matter how good of a package it is. Redefines "cult hit" just by the sheer amount of people that aren't playing it. Lose.
Halo 3 - Kill yourself. Lose.
Mass Effect - Slutty, overrated garbage. Lose.
...
So, overall, I'm going with Call of Duty 4. Even though the single player isn't as good (or long) as CoD2, it's still a solid game, and has incredible multiplayer. Wouldn't mind if Orange Box showed up as GotY on a few lists, but I'm expecting CoD4 to take the cake. No offense, Portal.
