The grrrrrreatest game of 2007.
A little in house acknowldgement to the game of the year, I need submissions to put together a poll for this, so the most voted on games here will then be put there.

Orange Box.
|
Sneak King.
|
Battletoads.
<.< >.> |
Sam & Max Series 1
Technically, it began in 2006 but most of the episodes came out this year. And it's the only new game I've played all year, poor me. |
Was it even that good? I considered getting it but thought twice when I saw its previews.
|
Well you have to like adventure games and appreciate the absurdist humour of the series. There was certainly enough there to keep me occupied (eps 4&5 especially).
|
Either TF2 or Crysis
|
Super Mario Bros.
Alternatively, RBI Baseball. |
Absolutely not Crysis. I say Portal.
|
Bioshock or Assassin's creed
didn't play the orange box yet :s |
Orange box is not a game. It is 3 games.
And Nate's choice is awesome. |
Halo 3 anyone? :(
Although I do admit halo isn't that good so why is it so famous? I don't actulay own Bioshock but I've rented it out from the Blockbuster. It's probably my favourite. |
Psychonauts.
Psychonauts is the best game of every year. |
Agreed.
I'm not sure how I feel about Tim Schafer's new project, though. It looks...okay. |
I bet It'll be funny. I am not a fan of heavy metal but I think I will enjoy this.

BioShock - No doubt has the best art direction, but that doesn't make it GotY. Also, has no replay value after a mere two playthroughs. Lose.
HL2: Ep 2 - Expansion packs don't count, even really good ones. Lose. Portal - Despite my rampant fanboyism for this game, it's only two hours long, and the challenges you unlock after you beat the full game do little to extend its life. Lose. TF2 - Cool art direction. Multiplayer only. Lose. Orange Box (overall) - Will never win, no matter how good of a package it is. Redefines "cult hit" just by the sheer amount of people that aren't playing it. Lose. Halo 3 - Kill yourself. Lose. Mass Effect - Slutty, overrated garbage. Lose. ... So, overall, I'm going with Call of Duty 4. Even though the single player isn't as good (or long) as CoD2, it's still a solid game, and has incredible multiplayer. Wouldn't mind if Orange Box showed up as GotY on a few lists, but I'm expecting CoD4 to take the cake. No offense, Portal. |
ohh, well I like Viva pinata (http://a.deviantart.com/avatars/k/i/killitwithfire.gif) yes I KNOW. Well I dont know when it was made or whatever, but I like. Oh and HALO 3 mwhaha. And Bioshock, thats quite wikked, in a warped way XD

I don't want to put Halo 3 on this list, as stupid as that sounds, I know, but I don't find it any more exciting or fun than any other monotonous shooter, like, say Serious Sam.
|
Crysis
Gran turismo Abe's odyssey |
It's quite clearly about 2007. only one of your games was released then.
Instant fail. |

Halo 3, simply because I made my elite pink and pale blue.
And killing people with a pink and blue alien hefting a clumsy flamethrower is Awesome and Win, Ne? Because really, video games are about fun, no matter how much that cast-iron shaft up yer butt screams "INTEGRITYDIGNITYDONTPLAYGAMESTHATARERELATEDTOAPARTICULARCULTUREYOUSUPERIORBASTARD", Just find something you find fun, and play it. You know it, ne? |
What did i tell you about screen stretching ghost?
|
It's not stretching for me, ne?
|
Then use a decent theme like Industrial:P That post stretched my screen!
|
Seriously? I use Industrial.
You must have a pretty small screen, ne? |
I'm using a widescreen laptop, but it's moving the borders of the page and stop with the fucking ne? or bantime.
|
Bioshock!!
