It has taken more than two weeks to get the forums in proper order to upgrade to the latest stable version of vBulletin. After the last attempt at upgrading resulted in loosing half a week's worth of posts, threads, etc, I decided it would be best not to rush this time around.
Due to the nature of this latest upgrade, and in an attempt to streamline, and make things simpler to manage, I have made a few decisions which will affect the vast majority of members.
Horizontal Postbit
First off, the vertical postbit (the column that contains a member's information / avatar) has been done away with completely. It takes a lot of time to properly co-ordinate both, and the horizontal postbit fits the styles better. It may take some time to get used to, but eventually, it shouldn't be noticeable.
Multi-Quote
Secondly, I've activated Multi-Quote. Multi-Quote allows you to mark posts that you wish to respond to by clicking on the small button at the bottom of the post (

). In order to use this, you must
only click on the

button. This new feature is fairly extensive, as you are able to click on posts outside the thread you are replying in, and still include them.
Signature Limitations
Thirdly, signatures have been overhauled. To properly monitor the various rules we have regarding signatures, the use of IMG tags in signatures has been disabled. To upload the one signature image you are allowed, you may now do this via the
User Control Panel > Edit Signature page. You are able to include your signature image in your signature by using the newly designated tag: [
SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
IMPORTANT!
You must do a Hard Refresh (Ctrl + F5) so that your browser will download all updated files. It may be necessary to do this on a few different pages. So if you are having problems, do a hard refresh and then post about your issue.
Those are the more important things to note in this new update, but for a full list of the new features and improvements from vB3.5, you can visit:
