Luigi is the shit. I own as him in Melee.

Also, I kinda wanna play Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga now. Again. Such a phenomenal game.

Luigi was completely insane in that game, with his spinning backwards jump that let you go almost anywhere.

I've started playing Croc with a mate. It was one of the first video games I owned, so it holds a special place in my heart. But holy shit the controls are awful; almost all of the difficulty stems from our inability to control Croc. We're still enjoying though, and the music is just excellent. Also, I discovered (well, independently discovered, bit it was already known) a pretty cool glitch that allows you to hover for up to ~5 seconds, which allows you to do some pretty neat stuff.

My first experience with a non-kart racing Mario was just a few weeks ago.

I was horrible at it and died repeatedly, and when the controller was handed to a more competent player they began playing badly too. That’s how bad I am at Mario.

Because if so that's probably why.

Super Mario Sunshine is a bitch. I love that game but fuck it's difficult.

I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas for the first time. I'm only level 4, and I already like this game more than Fallout 3. It's great. I especially love the ability to aim down the sights, and the depth of the world. Reputations are fun. I haven't fiddled with those since my WoW days.

Super Mario Sunshine isn't that difficult. The worst part is collecting all 240 blue coins; I had to use a guide to get the last few.

I thought Mario Galaxy and Mario 64 were difficult at times. Also That only really applies on the NES/SNES 2D Mario games. The New Super Mario Bros games are so easy.

Personally I preferred Fallout 3, it had a much better storyline.

As much as I agree with Dyna, I agree with JG too. Something about FO3 grabbed me more than NV.

The mechanics in NV were much better, but I was really put off by encountering the same bugs as FO3 and Oblivion. I started with a bad attitude because of that. I had to redo the tutorial several times because I clipped through rocks or into the ground. Within a minute of finally finishing the gekko killing section I encountered my first cazador, which one-shotted me. I hadn't saved

On a different note, I've been playing Delver. Still can't finish it.

All Oblivion, F3 and NV share the same engine, so it'd be naive to believe NV would not share the same bugs as the other two. You can toggle noclip mode to get out of such places if playing on PC.

I was playing on PS3.

I know they share the same engine, but you'd think that after releasing 3 big commercial games they'd nut out some of the bugs. I know that NV fixed some, especially random freezes. Clipping through terrain is always a bit annoying, regardless of the game/engine. To have it happen consistently across 3 games is just poor work.

The engine was badly coded regarding collisions from start. They should write a new one from scratch.

I've played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas and New Vegas is my more preferred game. I loved NV's story and I really like the setting as well.

On the other hand I haven't really played that much of F3 as much as NV so I should give it more of a chance. That is not to say I don't like F3, it's an amazing game

I would like to just point out that while chasing down cartridges for all the above mentioned DS games probably won't be too difficult investing in an R4 flashcart is a good idea. Beyond emulation, it's a great tool for backing up your games and for using your DS as a media device if you so wish. I will stress that thought it's probably the most solid hardware emulation device on the market, and will save you hundreds of dollars, and they are extremely easy to find and use, and is pretty much a mandatory item in the coming age of unpiratable portable gaming, it's...

I actually don't know what my gag was going to be there. I forgot to take my ritalin today so I've been a little all over the place. Oh, right. Piracy is bad. Kinda.

Also New Vegas was leaps and bounds ahead of F3 in every single way. If you disagree you probably played one of the two too little.

Yeah I don't like R4 carts. Not just the fact it's Piracy, it's just I like to own physical copies of my games.

Admit it, you were waiting for somebody to do that.

I've just played the Borderlands 2 demake.

While on holiday I brought over some games on a USB stick for my friend's aging computer. We proceeded to spend most of the week playing The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb, which actually looked pretty cool on his 'bulgy' CRT monitor. Also Spelunky, N and Pax Brittanica.

I think that's needlessly and deliberately foolish. You are wasting money. Why? Are you sentimental about this kind of thing? If so, I conclude that you are a hoarder.
