Take them to boot camp! Like I said, if you can't discipline a kid, someone will because the people out in the world are not your parents and they don't care. That's why disciplining is good, so you will let them now.
What if the child is only 4 or 5? You can't send them to a boot camp when they're that young.

4. Doesn't work all the time because the kid will end up throwing things around, cussing at you or hitting you to get your attention. Now what do you do?

6. You know, you give people the 411, information.

1. The only way it won't work is if you buy them the sweets.

2. Spanking is always the last resort as there is nothing worse you can do to them.

4. If they do that I restrain them. Is that hard?

6. What are you talking about?
Let me reitereate, what is 'a hardcore deal'?

7. Boot camp? Is that like some kind of boarding military school or someting? How will that help? You're just sending them away so you don't have to deal with them, it doesn't solve anything.

They send young kids to bootcamp about 7. You have a problems with four or five year olds? I mean, they won't be that bad because they would have learned. That I've seen, if you allow a child to rule you than that's just sad *blows a bubble gum bubble*

What would you do if a four year old was still misbehaving after they had been smacked? What would you do then?

No you haven't. You just assume children won't misbehave after being spanked under 7. Please answer it, I would like to know what you would do.

Apparently, the teenager was screaming hysterically "Bite my neck! Bite my neck!" to the police officers as they were arresting him. He obviously has a problem with his brain.

It's sad that the elderly neighbour's life was leading up to a horrific end.

He's been watching the "Craft", and both Blade movies too long! These movies will just hypnotize you. Especially craft.

Oh gods please let us not start blaming the media...it is not the media's fault that the kid can't tell the difference between a made up story and reality. (I have seen Craft and the first Blade movie...they had no effect on me as I knew they were fantasy)

Obviously this kid has been having 'problems' for some time...I want to know why no one picked on the signs of this extreme obsession and tried to get him help.

Saying films can turn you insane is like saying the Bible can turn you insane aswell. Except the people who read and believe every single bit of the Bible are a tad 'troubled' already.

Anyways, i agree with both Pinky and Gluk. You shouldn't smack (I dont like the word 'Spank' it always means something leud to me) a child until the last minute. Tell the child no and ignore it at first, if that doesn't work tap the child on the legs first, not brutally hard but fairly hard so it gets the picture. If it carry's on playing up just lock it in its bedroom for a while until it calms down.
I personally dont think you should smack the child and then immediatly afterwards hug it and tell it you love it as that is sending it mixed signals. Such as "I hit you cos i love you" and then they will get in a relationship were they hit their fiancé because they love them.

If your a parent you cant probe into your 18 yr old kids life. My family try and be relativly close to me, however, they dont know i plan peoples murders and attempt to put a end to my/others lives. Just because he had an obsession doesn't mean he had posters everywhere of Vampires. Also, who knows if he watched 'Blade' or the sequel or not (The sequel is quite good by the by, a must buy).

Or it could be a biting fetish, we will never know...

The whole prison V psychology front. Well...hmmmm...It is difficult to say really which is best. I think the guy should be referred to a Criminologist and then kept in a instiution until the results get back. If he was just doing it out of badness he should be put in prison.

Oh, and Pinky. A down side to your argument is if the kid gets jokely insulted by a friend, the child in question may beat the living shite out of the other child. Although i think my other argument (About beating the partner) was good enough.

Oh, and Pinky (Again.) Children are not as smart as you think. They will do stupid stuff such as hit people, shout, call names, say bad things, throw things, put their fingers in sockets etc etc. You need to teach them...through talking and possibly smacking. But not going overboard.

1. It was a documentary. And no, it wasn't a dramatisation.

2. So what do you do if a child under 7 misbehaves after being smacked?

Movies don't make people crazy.

1. No.
Kid: "Gimme some candy, yo!"
Parent: "No"
Kid: [Cries]
Parent: "I'm not getting you any candy"
Kid: [Cries]
Parent: "[Ignores Kid until they stop crying]"
Kid: [Stops crying when they realise they ain't gettin' no candy, yo]
I don't see why you would smack them when ignoring them would work a lot better. If they continue crying, continue ignoring them.

2. It could have been a biting fetish but he murdered her. Looks like there is something wrong with his brain afterall...

Yeh, i know. But i meant if the crying goes further. Such as throwing things, cussing and hitting. Then tap them, if they still dont stop put them in the bedroom til they calm down.

Edit: The biting fetish thing was a mere, vaguely amusing comment not to be taken seriously. Also he was shouting "Bite me, Bite me" when he got picked up by the police after harassing a German exchange student whom he thought was a Vamp.

I think it's sad that he was so caught up by fantasy at the age of 17. Makes you wonder what kind of life he lived... Still, the poor woman!

Dragadon: Did you know that there are actually still religious-fanatics out there who form groups and *capture* otherkin vampires? It's disgusting... I've heard about what they do to them... >.<

*sigh* no I didn't know that...and those jerks (the religious fanatics) are most likely one of the main reasons otherkin tned not to speak of their spirital selves to others other then other otherkin. (oy...that's a lot of 'other's) The fear of being harassed, tortured, etc by those that don't understand or tolerate us is great. (to me anyway...in all honesty it took a lot of 'spirital' strength and courage to reveal I am otherkin on this board...as I had already got bad results from two members over MSN (that has been resolved since then) and feared how the rest of the forum would react)

That and also the persecution they would recieve by society in a whole.

I dont see why, its not like your going to be meeting any of them...God forbid.

Although that is really arseholy. There is a air of coolness about the whole thing. Mainly the Vampyre hunters and Vampyres. What do they do to them by the by?

About the whole 'Otherkin' thing, most of the people who consider themselves Vamps only do it cos they want to be seen different and distanced from the morally 'exceptable' society in which we live in. In NewYork i know for a fact that there are stores in which you can get custom made Vampyre teeth, moulded onto yours. I saw the documentary which was quite interesting, they go to these Vamp parties (Nothing like the 'Blade' party, ashame isn't it) were they drink each others blood to seemingly get 'High' as i remember it. They had the contact lenses in and everything, it was quite kewl. And some of them were quite cute.
You can also find websites which state some interesting infomation. Such as rules and what nots etc. And what not to do in your 'Clan' which i would love to see, a clan of Vamps. However, it would be better if they were homocidal...just think of the outcry.
