Anyway while we are talking about the announcement. Is there any reasoning behind making the announcement around the same time as the Sony conference?

I mean there was kind of a build up to it (announcing the announcement) and then we end up with simply a tweet in the beginning of E3 frenzy.

We said we'd give a release date before E3 started, and we waited until we were reasonably confident that we could make that intended date. We'd had the 22nd of July in mind internally for a while.

I can't help but feel something did not go exactly as planned here.

Not at all. I think it was a couple of hours before Sony's conference, if my hazy memory serves me. The tweet (and slightly erroneous Facebook post) was actually a result of us not having full posting capabilities at the time.

Here's a question: on PC, if one is to plug in an Xbox controller say, will the PC control tutorial textures in the game change to represent the controller? or is that too difficult a change within the game?

Yeah, do you have / are you planning to have a separate set of icons for gamepads in PC version?
