I have to wonder... when development of Abe HD started the PS4 wasn't even out yet and the game was still planned for release on Xbox and PS3 but NOT PS4. Now almost a year later the PS4 has not only been added to the list but has been promoted to the flagship and exclusive release platform and we're being told that the PS3 release might even be released later.
I'm sorry but I'm calling bullshit on this. This is obviously part of a publishing deal with Sony which may or may not involve a big bag of money. I can't blame JAW as a small studio to accept a big bag of money and free promotion for their current flagship game. But the irony in combination with Lorne's praise of being an independent developer is staggering.
He was so proud of not being some big publisher's bitch and here they are again, so far up Sony's ass that daylight no longer reaches them.

Sorry, just seen this end of the thread.
Just to let you know, Sony aren't publishing the game at all. Oddworld are.
We're concentrating on the PS4 release as that's our current lead console platform and the one that best represents what we're trying to do with New 'n' Tasty. Our ambitions (and achievements) in terms of visuals, AI and gameplay over the last year meant that our initial launch focus - given our limited resources as an indie developer - should be the PS4.
Our (30-day) timed exclusivity with Sony regarding a launch window
is no secret - that's the reason the game is hitting PlayStation first - but we've not given any dates for the PS3 and PS Vita version simply because we don't know when we'll have them at the level we (and you guys would) want them. Like with the PS4 release date - we didn't want to push a date at this point in the process that wasn't realistic.
Obviously, in an ideal world we'd have all PlayStation platforms out at the same time, but that's simply not possible.
Could we have emphasised that it'd only be the PS4 release date we'd have verified at this point? Sure, and so apologies if the fact that we don't yet have dates for any other platforms is less than ideal. Rest assured the guys are working all the hours they can on the game and as soon as we've got an update on the PS3 and Vita releases we'll let you know (as well as any other platforms, of course).
Anyway, sorry for missing this thread - E3 took the majority of my time last week.
