I wonder why a lot of (but not all) small electric cars have to look like oversized toys. I prefer things to be practical rather than look good, but come on - There doesn't seem to be a reason for them to look that way, other than that the designer couldn't be bothered.
Then again, same could be said for a lot of new cars these days. I agree that many electric cars seem gimmicky when other compact cars do the same job much more efficiently, like the VW Up!.
@JG - After my dad ditched the stupid
blue Allegro Estate I mentioned back in '11 in the other thread, he was the fourth owner of a Cavalier Mk 2 estate. Was gold, like this one - It lasted him 6 years, and was still going strong when he sold it after he became too ill to drive.
E: This was back in the mid '90s though, I suppose ancient cars like this would be rustbuckets now.
One of the old people I do gardening for has this Cavalier Mk 1 GLS Sportshatch that's been rusting away in a barn for 20 years which used to belong to his parents. I'm wondering if it's worth anything other than scrap value:
