Looking forward to seeing how they solved all the issues that come with moving from a 2D sprite/screen based game to a 2.5D scrolling game. How they had to change level design, expand on it and so forth, in order to get it to work with the current technology.
In the end what I care for the most is a fun game that reminds me of the original but can stand on it's own. Or like Lorne calls it: "nostalgelicious".
