I enabled command blocks but they appear to clash with the Bukkit mods that Havoc has installed, so don't work very well.

I also would like to find out when this will be - I'm making a small contribution to the adventure and would like to know how much time I have left to finish.

As for the adventure, I propose some time in the first two weeks of January, since Havoc's hitting the kill switch on the 14th. I'd say some time between the 4th and 12th.
I propose Saturday the 5th of January, starting at 9pm GMT. Unless anyone has a big objection.

I recommend everyone checks they're prepared with food, armour and weapons. I'd recommend people bring a spare iron sword or two to hand out to anyone who dies (not unlikely) and a minecart. If people could ensure they're available to listen on Skype, if not talk, that would be a big help too, as it'd save me both typing and speaking any narration and/or instructions. I will be travelling with the group but may disappear at times to prep things.

As for the day/night, if command blocks don't work then I'll settle for manually resetting the time over and over.

Oh, and if those who came on the first part of this adventure (with the tunnel from the Enderdragon Egg Vault) could check their inventories to see if they have the book from that adventure, I'd be very grateful if someone could let me know they have it and leave it somewhere for me to pick up. For the recap and scene setting, ya know. I think I must have deleted my record of its contents.

EDIT: Hulaa, just noticed you offered to help with the adventure - sorry, missed your post before. Are you still interested? If so, I'll PM you. It'd be good if we could chat somehow. Maybe on the server, if we could arrange that.

I'll have to see if Skype is working first, I tried it the other night and it kept disconnecting me for some stupid reason.

Might need someone else to record it as well as me. My PC isn't amazing and fraps will only slow down Minecraft.

I was on Steam pretty much every evening, as we agreed. Either way, I have the concept of my part all thought out. I may have gotten a bit carried away with the lore that I tried to put into the whole Exoddus section, I'll try to make it all adventurer-friendly and concise (supposing that people will be interested in an actual backstory to the tasks I created).

Bukkit is now not working.

Havoc, remember an age ago when mob spawning got messed up because the distance with which chunks were despawning was smaller than the distance with which mobs were despawning? Can you just make sure that that's not happened again? 'Cus mobs are still suspiciously rare.

Edd, Rob, possibly Hula, how are you guys going? Set to finish by Saturday?
We can delay the adventure one more week if you guys need time.

As for the adventure, can people make sure they're ready? You're liable to die in a number of horrible ways, including (but probably not limited to) death by lava, death by monsters, death by death-trap and (not least of all) death by falling extraordinarily long distances oh my goodness yes. Therefore, bringing your best enchanted gear may not be the wisest idea - don't expect people to reply to your cries of 'Who's got my stuff?'. Still, please ensure you're ready before the start time (9PM GMT, Saturday coming or the one after - watch this space).

Please make sure you're equipped with weapons, food (expect a lot of travelling) and anything else you might want to bring. I recommend you have a minecart with you, and it would be handy if people could also bring beds to use to set spawn points later on so as to save some teleporting. I also request people bring extra food and swords, to hand out to any who fall to the aforementioned hazards.

It would be really helpful if everyone could have access to Skype for the event, even if they don't have a mic. A lot of story and instructions will be given out in books, which can, of course, only be read by one person at a time, slowing things down if they have to be passed around. There will also be moments when I'd like to say things quickly and have them reacted to, and it'll be rather slow if I have to type them out instead. So please come capable of listening in on Skype.

Finally, I strongly recommend that everybody who intends on participating watches Darkhoodness's video of Part 1 of the adventure which I will edit into this post as soon as I've waded back through this thread and found it.

We will meet where Part 1 ended, at the Longhouse of the Dragon Slayers (travel west, into the setting sun, from Ma'Spa Depot).

Splat; You mentioned Bukkit not working, well does that effect the entire server because it's not working for me. I can log on and walk around, but I can't destroy blocks, push buttons of levers, collect items and mobs don't react to me?

Your permissions are set correctly, try logging in again and see if it fixed itself. Sometimes when you log in the system (for some reason) adds a character to your name which makes it invalid and you are registered as a guest.

There still seems to be a problem with user permissions - I've had a poke around in the server backend but I can't find how to fix it. :S Perhaps something wrong with Bukkit? Havoc, can you take a look?

EDIT: I fixed mob spawning - It was that weird problem with view distance in server properties again. You'd think they would have patched that out by now.

I had to disable the permission plugin because it wasn't working and setting everyone to guests. I think it just needs an upgrade but I haven't had time to look into it yet. I'll have everything working properly by the time we do the adventure.

OPing someone works. Dripik OPed me yesterday and that fixed the problem.
