I was going to post this, but luckily I came to my senses. I still would've liked to post it though. I will... I mean, if you want me to, that is...

I've not actually played Amnesia but I've seen playthroughs, and they were enough to put me off. Saying that, though, Resident Evil Remake scared the shit out of me...

Tut tut, Varrok. It's terribly gauche of you to post images of a monster when the drama is based on not being able to see it.

Finished Psychonauts. A few things left for 100% completion, such as collecting every single figment, which seems like a nightmare.

Now that that's out of the way, I moved onto Bastion. I'm enjoying it a hell of a lot, and I'm not really sure why, but it's great. Everything just comes together really well; the art is gorgeous, and the music is fitting but not intrusive. One thing that I've noticed is that some of the ambient wildlife noises sound exactly like some on Oddworld games, specifically Oddysee and Exoddus. Perhaps these were stock sound effects?

There are only a few levels that this is especially painful in. Milla's mind is a pain in the ass for figment collection because the figments blend into everything, and also because it has that goddamned race. The only other one that can be difficult is Waterloo World. If you're only missing one figment there then good fucking luck, buddy. Good fucking luck.

On the topic of Psychonauts, I tried it out yesterday since it came with the humble bundle. I'm not sure if I really like it or not yet, that being said, I'm only at the very beginning. I don't like the characters at all, even the main character is really unlikable. Well, Oliander's cool. The gameplay and the level design seem nice though.

What you've just said is possible the most amazing thing I've ever heard. I'm literally amazed. But hey, now you and Tommy Tallarico have something in common. You guys should get together, and talk about how you are the only two people in the world with taste bad enough to say something like that.

You're criticizing Tommy Tallarico's video game taste or v.g. music taste? Because I enjoyed the OST he made for MDK.

Fuschia Fairy.

Fuschia Fairy.

Damn you, damn you Fuschia Fairy. No figment has any business being outside the level boundary.

In other news, got all three endings in Amnesia.

I liked Agrippa's most, since Daniel actually does something to redeem himself (sacrifices himself to save an innocent) rather than just adding Alexander to his murderer's tally and causing everyone's deaths to be in vain. And he gets a proper karma reward, leaving behind the pain of his mortal existence.

OANST speaks the truth.

If you really, really want to get all the figments and don't mind compromising your ethics, use this guide.

Actually it's pretty dialogue-light, most of the game is about fighting crazy-ass bosses.

I'm guessing its not a story-heavy game? Because from what I've seen it just looks like a teenage cheerleader decapitating zombies heads with various stupid melee weapons
