My sister loves ferrets.
I myself once had some hermit crabs. They were remarkably sweet. I couldn't bring them along with me to Denmark. The airlines would not have allowed that, and I doubt a shipride across the atlantic would have suited them, so I gave them to another hermit crab owner.
My sister has had some surprisingly intelligent dwarf hamsters. They seem to be able to escape from nearly every single cage we've tried to put them in. They know exactly where the food is, and head straight for it as soon as they escape. Either that, or my sister's security is extremely lax.
I suppose I have two rabbits as well, but those are less mine and more the rest of my family's. I do love them though. One of them is a gentle, giant, jet-black (in the winter anyway) rabbit, and the other is a smaller, feisty, bouncy with nearly the same color as DarkHood's cat, and a pair of very floppy ears. The surprising thing is that everyone who breeds rabbits claims you cannot keep two male rabbits in the same enclosure. These two are male, and live in the same space, and yet I have never seen them fight, or seen any evidence of them fighting at all.
