I was thinking it might be worth having one at the portal in the Old World near the Nether Fortress, though the discovery of the smaller fortress in the New World may make it obsolete. Still, I have my suspicions that there might also be a Stronghold near there.
5 minutes until the event tonight and the server keeps going down randomly - Maybe it's Bukkit or the server not being able to handle this many people on at once while we're all in different areas.
It's not been a problem before though, back in 1.8 when Exoddus was started. Weird.
EDIT: In fact it's down now and not coming back up again by itself.
DOUBLE POST: It's back up. Me and the others on the server now think we should postpone until 9pm GMT.
EDIT: And it went down again briefly after Buncible joined - He was in Terra Nova. Maybe Bukkit is unstable, or the server has trouble handling two worlds at once?

I really hate that about myself. I'm still pissed off about the whole thing. I'll expect lots of pictures and videos!
It was actually really fun, but a little short and anti-climatic - Which was a shame 'cause I can tell whoever made it put a lot of effort into it. We ended up creating our own entertainment afterwards though. Here's the vid (skip to 14:00 if you want to see something funny):
I built a wooden tower in creative mode while waiting for people to show up, then we burned it down after the adventure with Max the Mug inside. >: ) Later, we had a few drinks at the tavern and Exodduss, and then we walked to Rupture Farms as a big group (rather than use the star gate, 'cause it stopped working).
But yeah, the server didn't handle it very well, it crashed a bit and as I said above, the star gates stopped working. Also after one re-set it revoked everybody's OP powers, (this also sucks for me 'cause it won't be easy to continue working on RF until I get them back - Some of my plans are impossible without animal spawning or flying) and I think the current version of Bukkit isn't entirely stable.
Still, it was a very fun evening. Thanks to those who showed up!
Just checked out why all the weird things have been happening on our server but aside from a shitload of errors in the logs I can't really find anything. But it's obvious that something has completely shat itself. Permissions don't work at all anymore, the biome for the new world has suddenly changed to snow, stargates stopped working.
I'm going to take a good look into it tommorow.
Edit: Please don't build anything of value until further notice. I may have to rely in a backup to get things working again.
It seems biomes around Exodus are changing to swampland. Lots of the water in the base seems to be effected. Everyone should go an look at the river, it's changing colour.
