lol what luck,i managed to enter a stronghold,and find the portal,now im in the end and it is freaky,im throwing deadly potions at endermen XD

For those that don't know yet, the End is a big plane of nothing with some obsidian towers. The ground turns into cobble when you mine it. There are endermen fucking everywhere, though.

the white stone is mineable...if you get the right enchantment witch i want to get but i keep getting something else

i also read that enchanting can help double the drops that you mine so enchantments efficiency and fortune are the best,efficiency increases mining to 10% speed and fortune doubles the ore drops wheat,melons and tall grass

How strong is white stone? How long does it take to mine? (Compared to cobble, wood or whatever).

uh im in creative mode :/ dunno ill try to test it out somehow but i think its same as cobble,ill use mcedit to take a slice from the end to the overworld.brb.
edit:it has a slightly better blast resistance than cobblestone,as it seems that the end is the end when you enter it,you need a bunch of stuff if ya wanna survive there XD

But at the moment there's no benefit to going there, except for a huge supply of enderpearls and relatively easy-to-mine obsidian?
Can you drop water there? I have no idea if or not that's a good defence against Endermen in 1.9.

Also, if it is possible to mine ice, this could potentially be a way of smuggling water into the Nether. Wonder if Notch has accounted for that.

yes,it is possible to place water in the end,but you cant return from the end,yes you can smuggle water into the nether that way,and endermen are now almost impossible to kill,notch made em ultra strong,they evade arrows sword attacks from charging,they evade water and rain,even fire and lava....

To clarify this post, the enchantment Silk Touch allows the mining of usually unobtainable blocks. You can't find those blocks in The End. Only whitestone and Obsidian.

I've been playing Pre Release 5 and I see no diffrence at all apart from the Swamp is now really dark coloured grass.

In Pre5, water patches itself up however deep it is (previously it didn't if it was over a block deep), and you can make infinite sources of lava with a 3*3 pool. There are bugfixes to the annoying lighting bugs on stairs and paintings, too, and you can place End Stone and Mycelium in Creative Mode.

Does silk touch work yet? If so you can potentially place mushroom and mycelium legitimately in survival, too.

Note: Pools should not be made of lava
