Pretty much the entire level The Covenant in Halo 3, get to fly the jet helicopter thing(this one is infinitely better than the one found in Reach), get in a tank, and it all culminates into the largest battle in a Halo game. Two fucking scarabs, man.

The climax of Crysis 2, I forgot the levels name, but in it the aliens are invading the private compound, Hargreaves tells his men if you want to live save Alcatraz, and its the best alien invasion level I've seen in an FPS really.

I think there's something to be said about the final level, Halo, too. The whole thing is a massive callback to the first game, and brings the entire trilogy full circle.

You visit a rebuilt Alpha Halo, activate it with the Index Cortana's had in her brain since she stopped the original Halo, Johnson dies, you get to kill Guilty Spark for good, and then a glorious escape in a Warthog as the ring collapses in on itself, mirroring the escape from the Autumn at the end of the first game. And at the end of that, Master Chief and Cortana are left floating in empty space with no prospect of rescue.

On its own it's not much, but it's quite a sad moment when you realise this was the last Spyro game made by Insomniac, before the series took a major decline in quality.

Yeah the original Spyro game have a special place in my heart. They were just great and I see its greatness in the Ratchet games as well. Rep+ cause you love Spyro too

I'm not going to post a video because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the final level of World 1 in Braid was brilliant. Absolute mindfuckery when the switcheroo occurs.

I think the justification for doing machinima came from the fact it runs in game as part of a server event and many people playing WoW have shitty computers because it's the casual's MMO.

Though that doesn't forgive or explain why they used machinima for the patch videos, epic as they are too.

Metroid Fusion. So many fabulous moments in the game, but above all the sequence from when the power fails, trapping you in a lift, you see the X-infested Ridley, the vine-choked power core, and then the meeting with the SA-X in TRO when she pounds the life out of you, no matter how fast you run.

(Video only shows part of it, and is pretty rubbish anyway.)
