Goes to show that it doesn't matter what you believe in - Christianity isn't harmless by any form of imagination, but extremism is always a terrible thing and a very dangerous way of thinking. You can even believe strongly in a good cause such as animal rights or feminism and end up taking it waaay too far, then end up damaging your own cause. It's why I hate PETA so much.

About him and his games though: He's 32 and an adult - Not a child. You can't blame his actions on being influenced by computer games because he should be responsible and know better - Especially since he's been an adult since modern gaming became mainstream (and also it's stupid to see games as a way of training for RL considering they're nothing like each other, no matter how realistic).

I hope people won't be stupid and try to use it as an excuse to censor computer games though, rather than link up his actions to his extremist right-wing political alignment. If what that documentary said was true about the far-right gaining more power in the Nordic countries, I really hope that this will be the thing that will stop them gaining more power.

You dislike PETA and right-wingers? I'm going to try and refrain from turning this into a political rant. Though I admit, some people in PETA do go way to far, giving the organisation as a whole a bad name. Also that guy is of the religious right - something I obviously don't affiliate with.

On the whole, I think PETA has done far more harm than good. It's more like a militia than an activist group. Throwing blood on people wearing fur coats solves nothing.

I don't think PETA has besmirched the name of all animal rights groups, just their own. The other groups make a point to distance themselves as much as possible from PETA.
My mom actually knows Ingrid Newkirk, their president, and lives near the PETA headquarters. I've never met her myself, but I've heard she actually encourages the militia-like behavior of the members under a sort of "fight fire with fire" pretense. Insanity just begets more insanity, in my opinion. PETA's done some good, but it's undermined by such stunts as printing their magazine covers featuring ideological celebrities wearing suits of bacon and shit.

I think his point was that it'snot possible to sufficiently punish someone for taking 84 lives. You can't just give him 84 life sentences, or execute him 84 times. It's moments like this that make me wish that there was an afterlife, so that justice can occur.
