If he found a gem, he could sell it for loads of moolah!

IC: Well that explains where he got the stickers, Mars thought. Realizing he forgot to remove the sticker, he got right on that, and carefully placed it on the back of Flace's slig mask. Works for me.

The doings of the strangely hatted Mudokon and the company around him confused Gobrak. 'This is an auction not a playground!' Gobrak thought to himself and sighed. He decided to just ignore them for now and focus on what was much more important to him, the mines.

Gobrak was so focused on ignoring the others' strange behaviour and the current state of the auction that he forgot to signal his assistant to raise his hand "18K!"

"Sold to Gobrak for $18k! Congratulations! It is my fine duty to inform you that this auction is officially over!" Bleezle bangs his hammer on the table twice. "Now I must ask you all to return your bidding tokens and sort out the finances with the auction staff. Oh, please don't forget the disco and the buffet. We spent a lot of time working on that"

General Flace smiled, "Well, that's that. Time to mosey on down and boogie" Flace paid for his winned item and then went to get his grove on.
The discoball rotated and the lights sparkled. "Woooooooooooooooo!"

Mars, glad for this madness to be over, yawned, and grabbed his hammer from the floor. It's been a long day. He made note of Gobrak. Mars wanted those mines. Bad. But with unbreakable metal, surely it won't be that hard...

He made his way to the buffet, and ate half of it that evening. He needed a rest, as there was much planning to do once he got home. After all, he wasn't paying for any cannons.

A smile briefly ran across Gobrak's face as he won the bid for the mine and the auction was over. Gobrak, uninterested in the disco and the buffet stood up, nodded to EZ and left the room. He had got what he came for and more. This deal with EZ was just the sugar on the Scrabcake. Hopefully long lasting and profitable sugar.
