I merely meant to say that any major change in scientific advancement should be celebrated, not viewed as some kind of academic betrayel, Hawkings earlier books, after all, provided important groundwork for his later theories. The fact that he had the scientific integrity to admit that he wrote books full of disproven theories puts him a step above so called scientists like Skinner who went to his death in the 60s with an almost religious like conviction that all human behaviour was learnt from our parents and our peers. Even though these theories of his had been disproved decades ago.

I apologize if I came off sounding arrogant or fauxophical, I'm in an introspective mood today D:.

No, you didn't come across as either. I was just trying to make sure I knew what you were saying. You all know that I'm a bit poor when it comes to using my head.

But yes, you're right. after looking over what I said, I realise that.

At the risk of sounding like a waste of space, my favourite celebrities are Jonathan Ross and Chris Moyles.

Jonathan Ross because he is really quick and witty and despite being a multi-millionaire, is still a normal person, and he always has time for his fans. He never forgets that they're the reason he's where he is today. I don't want to dwell on him too much. I have an unhealthy obsession for the man. I felt had I said "His dress sense, his cheeky smile, the way he plays with his hair when talking to the audience..." and so on and so forth, would have been ever so slightly creepy.

Chris Moyles, who I feel I have to defend my choice before being told I'm a chav and should burn in hell, has changed an awful lot in the last year. When I first started listening to him, I didn't like him much. He was rude, arrogant and had an ego bigger than his belly. But in the last year he's grown up, matured, climbed a mountain, and is no longer the bolshy, in your face character that the majority of the public in the UK think he still is. I wake up to him every weekday morning so I suppose I've had to grow to like him.

On that score I'd like to name Angus Daeyton. Watch the full episode of HIGNFY after the prostitute scandal and you'll see how well he takes Hislop and Merton's jokes like a man.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO GIVE A SPECIAL MENTION TO BRIAN BLESSED, Patrick Stewart and Whoopi Goldberg as actors I massively look up to as well as Brian May, Leonard Cohen and Joe Hisaishi being musicians and composers in the same vein.

I feel quite sorry for Deayton at the moment. His career has died. He's just been given the boot from Would I lie to you? now in favour of someone more popular with a more youthful audience

It's a shame, because I really like him. I don't think there's a place for him back on HIGNFY, but there should definately be a prime time show somewhere belonging to him.

(Also, thanks for quoting me during my edit Joe =D)

I can't quit editing today: Your mention of HIGNFY has made me think Merton is on par with Moyles if not a little bit ahead.

Edits over.

John Coltrane was fucking awesome.

So was John Lennon.

And is Bruce Springsteen.

John Lennon was mean to his kid. Repeatedly reminded him that he was accident. This does not roll with me.

That does sound out of order. But there were awesome things about him.

Julian is excellent, as he has played with Trevor Dunn of Mr. Bungle.

Julian is a pretty mediocre musician who only has a career because of who his father is.

Some greek bloke once said 'fame is the perfume of heroic deeds' or summat.
I like Johnny Vegas just because he'd be a right laugh as a drinking buddy, and was hilarious on celebrity pub lock-in.

Please take note that I said "excellent because he played with Trevor Dunn" - this implies that I think Dunn is an excellent musician. Nowhere does it give my opinion of Julian.

If that's how you read it and was just giving your opinion on Julian, then that's fair enough.

I agree completely. I don't really care for much of Patton's side projects (apart from one or two Tomahawk songs, but they still weren't that good.

Celebrities are stupid! Well, almost all of them are! I hate them! They think they are so cool just because they put some chemicals on their face, when that's the only thing they can do.

Real celebrities, the ones that last more than five or six years or so have talent.

People say "Celebrity" and they immediately think "Paris Hilton!"

During the Red Nose climb when nine celebrities climbed Mount Killimanjaro, the moment any one of them complained the public were complaining about how "the pampered, millionaire celebrities are after our money and can't deal with it." People tend to think celebrity = rich and pampered. Real celebrities aren't pampered and rich. Most of them aren't stupid and don't think they're amazingly cool.
