Sure, it'll take a while though because i havn't learn't how to apply texturtes to models in blender yet but im still looking it up now. I may be only 16 years old but i have been claimed to be gifted for my computer graphics skills both, 2D and 3D

Thought i might upload and show you this area that is like Soulstorm Brewery and Bonewerkz put together. I created this last night. Made the background in a game called Second Life and got the sprites randomly from the internet and poory ripped them. dosn't have to be good quality anyway, just shows what goes where! :P

I know it may look crap but it is a rushed project... i sometimes hate using up too much time on some things...

there is supposed to be a security orb there too but.... no luck finding a decent sprite lol!

I have made some sprites with Second Life and Photoshop. Hopefully they can be usefull.

Here's an update on the fuzzle, Finally figured out how to get the textures onto it, now that i know how I can make better textures to replace some of the current ones to make it look better. By the way, the fuzzle with these textures would still look good if a light scource was applied to it to give it shadows and it's skin a bit more tone.

I got shadowing to work now so heres the pics of the Fuzzles rendered and shadowed also with darker textures. Enjoy
there may be a few faults in the model as what the lighting shows, im going to see if I can fix these problems but I have attempted before, didn't do much...

The storyline for this game seems a bit dodgy. what I mean by that is the Glukkons wouldn't want to destroy Oddworld in the first place. Theydon't intend to kill off all mudokons, They are pretty much like buisness men but with enough evilness inside them to kill. Glukkons only use the wildlife of Oddworld for their own profit or personal gain.

Another thing is that Glukkons wouldn't want to leave Oddworld in the first place because that is where their profits are anyway, If they end up drstroying it their lifestyle would be in ruins and would pretty much bring all the inhabitants of Oddworld to entire extinction. Just think the storyline through and research the details of each current character in Oddworld over the internet to get a better understanding of how you could make the story better.

Not saying it's a bad story, I actually find it a good story just the thing is you gotta keep it within each and every characters lifestyles and behaviours. there are many reasons why certain things never happen in Oddworld, Like how Sligs won't attack Glukkons and take over because Glukkons provide them with a job they enjoy doing and supply them with weaponry and pants/wings. But anyway, I should get back to making stuff for the game hehehe....

I just started making a slig and decided to post it here, messed up the mouth tentacles and I don't even know how I did so.... >_< really annoying, only found that out when I went to take the screenie... hope the textures cover it up

I thought about that and im sure the Glukkons wouldn't want to destroy their homeland, It's not in there nature to destroy but it's their nature to dominate and earn maximum profits from as many resources as they can gather and make moolah off. Iv'e also been thinking, How could a fuzzle pull levers, jump large gaps, run from sligs and all other sorts of things similar to that? Im sure there might be a way but would it be physically possible?

Not saying you should change the main character all together, just saying you might want to think how Fred approaches these things and manages to get around these problems.

+ If we had extra help on the project it might take time off the development of it. But we don't just want random people going "PICK ME! PICK ME!"... we need people with skills like me. I can do many things but alot of these things arn't easy to do alone... But anyway, Collabing ideas would make the game much better so if you have any, maybe you can post them here and see if it would be interesting to add to the game.

I smoothed it a bit more but it's quite hard to tell but the problem is that it altered some of the model when I did so. heres some pics. eyes got larger somehow

The only thing I think is going into the crapper is the Slig model i'm working on. I don't want it to go really but I just can't fix some of the problems iv'e had with it and I can't do much with it either *throws the Slig model away* but the rest so far is going according to plan!

I don't really wanna trash it either but I need to learn to do more stuff in Blender before I go making complex stuff like the slig. I will remake it some time later (maybe a few weeks) so then I have more expierience and have a better ability of making it.

I think I have a way for Fred to pull levers. He'll ha ve to sort of jump on to the top and push his body weight against it forcing it doing. I beleive that to be somewhat possible. As for jumping large gaps... A trampoline may be in order. Maybe you'll have to push it over or something. Well nudge it along rather. Running from sligs... Fuzzles have teeth for a reason you know. Pulley's are out of the question for sure however so you are right about something BlackVenom.

Well a year or three isn't too big of a price to pay for what this game is looking like. All I need is some kind of reminder about this.

I think the slig would shoot the fuzzle before it even makes it within a 5 meter range of the slig. The trampoline isn't a bad idea but also isn't the best of ideas, I also thought about the way he pulls lever before I even posted the previous post about this and im sure thats ok. Maybe he could get mudokons to help Fred do stuff, maybe throw him over large gaps, Assist him with the pulleys, Not sure about what he could do about sligs though, maybe put a grenade in his mouth and spit it out.

These are just my ideas but yours are still great too!

This looks really cool, but I'd like to offer some suggestions you may not like to hear.

I've been making games for quite a while now myself, and I can practically guarantee you that if you continue to be as ambitious as you are now, you will not ever finish this game. You will lose interest or have no more time to work on this game inbetween now and three years into the future. And even if you don't, your fellow game makers almost certainly will. I've seen dozens of great projects die this way, including a few of my own. And I've seen almost none of these ambitious projects completed. (Unless the people who worked on them received money for doing so, that is.)
Because I'd really like to play this game, I'd like to suggest: make the game smaller than you're currently planning. You can always expand the game after it's finished if you still feel like doing so.

Another suggestion I have is to, well... not blow up Oddworld. I suggest making a story on a smaller scale. Create something that doesn't (drastically) change the current Oddworld cannon. Fans might even accept it as a semi-cannon part of the Oddwolrd saga if you keep it small, believable and if it doesn't change Oddworld as we know it. What I'm trying to say is: people probably wouldn't even take it from Lorne Lanning himself if he destroyed Oddworld or (for example) killed off the Mudokons. And they certainly won't accept it from you.
Of course, the whole game could be a 'what if' story. But even then, I think not drastically changing Oddworld nor trying to continue the story after Munch's Oddysee is best. Make Fred's tale a side-story.

This is just my humble opinion, of course, but I do believe this could make your game better. Also, if you do these things, and possibly even if you don't, I'd be willing in helping create some sprites. I can only do 2d art though, so if you were moving to 3d-rendered sprites I cannot help out. I can help in designing game mechanics too. I'll post some examples of other things I've done later and let you decide if you'd like my help.

Great work on the 3D stuff! I really really wish I could do 3D.

But I must say I agree with BlackVenom and Stan. about the blowing up Oddworld thing. I just don't think that's something the Glukkons would do. But even if you keep that as part of the story I think you should rethink the bit where they find Earth.
