Upcoming Fan Game, Oddworld: Odd In Balance

[Fred The Fuzzle]

Earlier this year I thought of making an Oddworld fan game. I am a 2d game maker and is fascinated by Oddworld. So this is my Oddworld game Oddworld: Odd In Balance.

The story follows Fred an adorable, but ugly fuzzle. I'm currently working on the script.

This is a brief plot:

After Vyyker's labs explode the queen Glukkon dies, because she needed Munch's Lungs, and all authority's will die out. Fred the fuzzle is underneath Vyyker's Labs at the time of the explosion and finds and eats a Vyyker's Labs Original Language Translation Pill.

The greedy Glukkons decide to blow up Oddworld killing everything. So Fred Finds this out and has to save every being (Besides Sligs, slogs, glukkons etc)

Fred manages to save all the inhabitants of Oddworld and set of on a space craft to find a habitable planet. The find earth and land. THE END.

By The Way does anyone know where an oddworld map is?
A lot of scenes involve it.

I bet you could get one from TOGG and shrink it with MS paint. And anything else for today?

I'm interesting more in the specifics of the game; how are you coding it, ect?

I'm using Click Team's Multimedia Fusion Dev, it should make the coding quick and easy, yet still have excellent quality.

For cut scenes I'm not sure, most likely Blender 2.46, if not I may have to do spriting movies.

The finished game will be download-able free ware, on EXE format. There will be one or two demos, just to make you sure I'm still working the game.

I hope these answers your questions, any more comments would be appreciated.

I might be able to help with some things if i have the time or if im even bothered to lol, I have alot of experience with photoshop so that might help with developing most 2D and rendering 3D art... I don't know lol!

+ i have expierience in making music, 3D graphics development, Sound Editing, Game maker and alot of other things...

Blender? As in 3D cutscenes? Cool! At first I thought this was going to be just another Gamemaker game. I'm looking forward to the first demo.

The blender cut scenes will add months to the time schedule.

But sprite movies will only take a day or two.

The second video was weird.

Anyway, it's up to you what you do. I'd like to see them done in Blender, but then again sprite movies might go with the game a bit better. It all depends on how much time you really want to spend on them.
