Maybe there is a secret even deeper lake underneath the Loch Ness?

There were no known aquatic dinosaurs. Neither is there any basis upon which to say that any mysterious creature, if there is one, is in any way a Lazarus taxon of some prehistoric group.

You would still think that there would be more than one. We obviously haven't hunted them to extinction.

Sonar can reach to the bottom of the ocean and several meters into the sediment and bedrock. I have done this myself.

JFC, they have the nerve to imply that Triops sp. are somehow dinosaurs, that they are closely related to trilobites and then spelled "nauplius" wrong? Fuck.

Crustacea =/= Vertebrata =/= Trilobitomorpha

They do look cool, though.

Not really, no. It's more different from a dinosaur than we are.

And no, they didn't live at the time of dinosaurs. There were similar species, but the whole of Notostraca is in need of a review, as it hasn't been thoroughly examined since 1938, and only the carapaces were preserved in the Triassic strata. As a result, Triops, especially Triops cancriformis, is somewhat of a waste basket taxon, like Megalosaurus before the recognition of Dinosauria.

Note: I did recognise the sarcasm there. At least I hope that was sarcasm.
