Celibacy is indeed a choice. I don't want to have sex, I don't need it, and I won't have it in my career. It's a useless, disgusting process that is unnecessary due to overpopulation.

And even if I was, I don't see how that's at all relevant to criticizing folks who feel obligated to push their sex lives on folk. Of course, he's just trying to be provocative as such a view-point makes precious little sense. I'm guessing that by 'despise' he's referring to the fact he thinks of it as mental illness. Which is quite a silly thing to say, since if you want to go down that route you might as well start saying left-handed people are a bunch of mentlers, or those who love their pets more than people.

So, given that you do, Pat, see it as a mental illness, what's to despise? Surely pity and compassion would be nearer the mark?

And it ISN'T a sexuality.

On-topic: I am straight as a die, although I often am the subject of gay jokes. Dunno why it happens, but it doesn't bother me.
Off-topic: I think by saying he despises transexuality, he means he finds the idea/viewpoint of it disturbing to him. And I don't see what's wrong with that, since last I checked we were allowed to have likes and dislikes.
Also, does someone's political affiliation (Or religious affliation, to be fair about the Islam comments) make them a scumbag who deserves to die now? That's just a bit generalizing as well, isn't it?

I finally figured it out. I'm completely strait. I'm so secure in my sexuality that I have no problem f*cking guys.

I find it weird though if anyone chose Asexual. Last time I checked no human could reproduce by having sex with them self. I mean you can masturbate all you want but I doubt you will produce a living child.

Patrick I know you love the lord and all but surely you should give sex a go once or twice before deciding to never have it.

I think that’s the point. I agree with Pat that there are far too many people as it is, but remaining childless really needn’t necessitate asexuality. Nevertheless, I have multiple asexual friends, and respect that entirely.

You're missing the point. Remaining childless is not asexuality. Asexuality is having a complete disinterest in sex and/or romantic relationships. It's a properly diagnosed psychological condition and is more common than you'd think.
