Yeah. Nintendo is going the way of Sega. I wish they would hurry up and stop making consoles so I don't have to pay $60 for a pawned Nintendo system every time I want to play a new Zelda game.
But you have to admit, they have their own way of doing things and they've stuck with it. Call it a bad business move, call it old fashioned stubbornness, but the fact that their business plan is so conversely different from that of Sony and Microsoft deserves
some admiration. Nintendo has sack.

Things are looking good for gaming. Graphics in the PS3 and PC realm are nearing photo-realism, and that's just about as good as it gets. Soon, however, games are going to hit an absolute zenith. There is going to be a time when production costs (upwards of $70-80 a game?!) will have to meet graphical superiority halfway; a point where games simply, for financial reasons,
can not look any better.
Maybe not in this generation of consoles, but certainly the next. It is then, I hope, that developers will began moving in a fourth dimension of gaming... VR and brain stimulation. While all of this PS5/7 nonsense is still nonsense, it is interesting to note that Sony
has acquired a patent for a similar form of entertainment (although I'm sure there are too many rumors and joke sites around to get a clear explanation). One thing is for sure, gaming is reaching it's (pardon the cliche) final frontier.
Plus, being able to play Halo through a visor in a real-world environment would
totally kick ass.
