When I grow up I wanna a be a demon,
caught you all in it for a sec or maybe not, I'm sure some people would already agree with me, and one can take pride in that. Anyway what do I wanna be well I like medieval history (also have studied it from age 6) so that has been a goal until I found out that historians don't get paid alot so then I decided I wanted to be a historian who either wrote a lot of books or on who could blackmail the history channel. Then again I could always be a thief, nah thatss to hard.

I'll agree with Jacob, though not about the Advertising Industry. I would like to keep my soul and not let it get into the hands of Satan, thankyou very much.

I'm not too sure how I will gain the incredible wealth I deserve. Perhaps by inventing the Nurgelsplat.

I'm still in school, studying english, swedish, math, sports (with a teacher who wants to kill me...), social stuff, computer stuff, art, music and theatre. Most of it is at least interesting.
I've always wanted to be an actress. Lately I've felt some new urges to become an author. If I can't do any of that, something in art or translation. I'm just a bit worried about one thing, none of these jobs will help me get any money. Actress, author and art takes lots of skill and some luck to get money and I doubt a translator get well paid.

It's apparently quite a popular choice, but I want to be some kind of Illustrator or Concept Artist/Designer.
I love art, always have done. I have a bit of an edge in that at 15 I'm familiar with a lot of media (traditional/digital), so I'd hope that I can the experience a bit faster or something.
I also enjoy design, so the concept artist choice wouldn't hurt either.

Failing that, I love languages too. I could do some kind of translating job and still enjoy it.

Ideally, I'd quite like to become an author. Telling stories is what I enjoy doing, as sad as it sounds. But I'm discovering and experimenting with different ways to tell them all the time, so it might not be an 'author' as such that I end up wanting to be.

Alternatively, I want to open up a mysterious gadget shop that has a tendency to vanish and reappear in places you're sure it wasn't. It'd make a great party trick, only I don't think you could take a whole shop to a party.

Author is something I am already working on. I am writing a story known as "An Imp's Tale" which combinds mythical creatures, over the top comedy, and my grave intrest of Medieval history and often puts the history in retrospect or in very comical ways. "Know I will tell you what was wrong with Charlamgn's enemies, they had the cream of the crap of weapons, he was fighting guys with a chicken leg in one hand and a wooden sheild in the other, and here comes Charlamgn's troops with there heads up in the air who could spit shine their helmets without leaving strecks, they must have been the only hygenic people in the Middle Ages" That why my other desire is to become a historian of the Medieval period also. For more excerpts from the book please visit my thread in the non oddworld art and lit. titled An Imp's Tale

I can tell you've read just a bit too much Pratchett.

But you wouldn't have to bring the shop to the party; hold the party in the shop. If the guests were all good friends you could hop around the planet chasing the eternal night, or just go to Bankok for cheap strippers. Alternatively if you didn't like them much you could pop the shop over to the other end of the city so that you screw with their heads and no-one can find their cars. If you get them pissed enough they'll blame themselves.

And just to join the club, I want to be an author also. I have lots of ideas but I'm fairly crap at getting them on paper.

With S101 saying that, it's reminded me i actually have a novel in the works. And so far i'm not very far with it. I'm not fussed though. I will complete it. And i will be rich. It will then be turned into an animated series. Because i'm THAT hardcore.

I wouldn't mind being a games story developer person as well. Where i just make up random stories for video games. Yes.

Heheh, that is correct. Soul Music, wasn't it? I don't usually so blatantly nick other people's ideas, but it was something that appeared in my head when I tried to think of what I'd like to be...*hangs head in shame*. Next time I steal, I'll do so more subtley. Though I'm sure I've heard of a similar thing to the moving shop elsewhere too (outside of Discworld, I mean).

I still want to take the shop to the party, just to be special. Maybe I could set up a stall.

Woah, what a different time makes. Duh. Since last posting in here, I decided that volunteer-save-the-world-person was the only way to go, but then I was suddenly struck by how simple it would be to be a paid hippy! Hey, I'm thooper at science and I love the environment to pieces. Fo shiz, m'nigz, environmental science it is.

The hard part is that I don't do chemistry on top of biology, so I may need some recompensating qualities before I start reaping the heavy goods. If all else fails, I can still donate blood. Oh, no wait, they won't let me.

Camp Auschwitz: Built by the pure, for the impure.

Yeh, so i've definatly decided i want to do something in Advertising. Here is an example of a GREAT Radio advertisement i came up with. It may cause offense, so if it does. Do not read it. You have been warned.

Ahem -

*Cheesey, happy music on Radio*
"Jews getting you down? Blacks pissing you off? Gays f*cking your ass? Send them to Camp Auschwitz - a Camp designed SPECIFICALLY for them! Here they'll learn the important tasks of rationing what little food they're given! Digging their own graves! And even fending off disease! *Corny laugh* Yes, you'll be hard putsch'd to find a better camp!
Camp Auschwitz is a family orientated camp - and the more families we can get involved in on the fun - the better! Our specilised sleeping compartments allow 9 campers to fit in ONE room! This adds for a truly family feel that you won't get ANYWHERE else!
Our highly trained Camp staff are sure to give you a friendly welcome. Just be sure that you watch out for their practical jokes! They're a gas! *Corny laugh*
Know a Jew, a Black or a Gay who would love to come and stay with us at the Camp? Give their name and address to your local authority and we'll be sure to get in touch with them! 90% of Jews agree, Camp Auschwitz is a BLAST! And the 10% that disagree? *Gunshot, followed by a heavy thumping* Won't disagree any longer *Corny laugh*
So remember: Camp Auschwitz - The first, final and ONLY solution!"

I have three realistic ideas for my future employment. Author (Think Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams), director/actor, and game creating (In a perfect would, I'd intern with either Tim Schafer or Leorne Lanning, whichever works out the best. As this is the real world, who knows).

If I became a game creator, I have a special goal. Besides a plethora of other games, I'm going to try and make a Christian game...that doesn't suck! Yah, you heard me. This probably sounds impossible, but I have...one...idea that might work out. Other than that, of course, I'll be making, "normal," games.

Side Note: Jacob, I find myself torn. On one hand, your joke is completely rude and sadistic...on the other...it's really freakin' funny. Choices, choices, choices...

I'd buy it.

But are there really any "Christian" games on the market anyway?

I've always wanted to make a game in which a character travels to each layer of Dante's Inferno, and then ascends Purgatory to get back to the mortal world. Think Devil May Cry except, you know, better. Of course, nine layers of Hell are never mentioned in the Bible (to my knowledge), so it wouldn't exactly be a "Christian" game per se... but you get the point.

But would they be carrying a chaingun with which to deal with all those pesky daemons? Or would it be more of an adventure/story game?

I thought of a good idea a few months back for an action/FPS game based on the story of Orpheus (...in the Underworld) but I won't share it here 'cos I don't want it stolen or for you to see its half-baked nature.

Heh. Good to know I'd at least sell one. I actually have 2 ideas, and they both seem to be excellent. One of them has demons (sort of), but the other doesn't. Can't tell more now, though. I'll fill you all in when I'm actually making it.

And yes, there are Christian games on the market, but almost all (if not all) suck.

I'm learning C++ and SDL to ready for the production of a game, though.

It doesn't matter, they're all lame.

For example, a game where you play a pong-tetris hybrid and reveal verses, any Veggie Tale's software, something where you shoot chickens from you airship (Which sounds fun, but quickly deteriorates. Also, not to be confused with Chicken Invaders), etc.

The only good Christian game I've ever seen, is the Noah's Ark hybrid of those old first-person shooters by ID. It was quite fun, considering that you, Noah, armed only with a slingshot of food, had to go up against mad llamas and evil elephants. Catchy!

I was also thinking of going into wild-life management, stating a thesis on wolves in collage, and therefore could do wild-life management and own a wolf! That is my dream, I have worked with wolves for some time and were there are wolves ther are native Americans, and I am part Indian. Part Black Foot and part Cherokee but don't really look it

I've come up with heaps of ideas for games/mods, but only 10% of them (if it's even that high!) ever get started and only about 10% of those I start get finished.
I know a bit about C++, but I don't know hardly anything about OpenGL, so I stick to 2d stuff. However, I don't really think I want to do stuff with computers for a job, more like a hobby. I think I want to work with horses, some sort of equestrian job.
