Sweet music to my ears! Thanks so much Shell Man for this info, I can't wait to read some transcripts and see some scans from whomever.

:
Two names highlighted were "bolamite" and "A-wrapnid."
Go with bolamite OWI, you know you want to!

I kinda like the second one... "A-wrapnid". I think it sounds cooler that bolamite.

Hmm, let's see. The hunter guy on the cover looks to be the one seen in the picture of Stranger clinging to a tree above, he has the same horizontal straps across his chest, leather vest and protruding lower jaw. He also has a little scar under his eye, and an interesting tattoo of a long, skeletal(Sea Rex??????) My guess from seeing the other pictures is that there's a whole family of individual hunters that we might fight in the game, each with his own attributes and weapons. There's also a small picture of one of those salimanders in a warrior stance, decked out in Samurai-looking armor.

Like an arachnid that wraps things up, cool. I think that's more creative than "Unkle Turkeytoes".

And he got this from the March issue? Damnit! It's only March 2nd and we don't have Polygon in stock yet!

I wanted to be the one who info-ises

Edit: did anyone notice that the hunter in the Spectrum book had the head of the Grub Hunter but the body of the new hunter? Peculiar....
Maybe Mr. Ray-Ray Swanland was still playing around with character designs

I feel your pain. I've been calling all over the place today and the only place that stocks Polygon in my area is Borders, but they haven't put out the March Issue yet.

I really like the look of the salamanders here. I don't know if they've changed or it's just a better image but I'm looking forward to seeing them in action

Ok, I'm gonna scan the cover tonight, and possibly a few pages, the only problem is that I have no means of hosting, so if someone wants me to e-mail it to them, so that they could post 'em, let me know.

I'm impressed.

Now I know what the "crab thing" on the card was... Bolamite is a good name (bolas+mite). Not fond of the trashtalking chipmonk idea though. Live ammo is WAY better than product ammo. I like the idea of Stranger shooting different animals from his crossbow. Good job OWI!

Actually, I'm just dying to see these pictures...really. Stop looking at me, Max.

Polygon...The Oddworld Issue!

Unfortunately I'm yet to obtain the March Issue of Polygon, but our new member Shell Man has it, and he's scanned the cover for our viewing enjoyment. I'm mearly the lowly picture hoster. More pictures and transcript soon to come, whether by Shell Man...me...or Oddsville, it is unknown.

Yeah I know what you mean the game is starting to feel Oddworldish as we find more and more scarce info. I am at an ah for what I see so far. Its defenitly turning out to be eye candy.

I am still waiting for March's update on the official site. I just know something big is comming and I can feel it. Anyways thanks for these articles guys. You guys are numero uno in my book!

That hunters head suddenly reminds of of an alligator. Does anyone else see the likeness?

He also has funny ears and proper bullet ammo.

The live ammo that has many different attibutes conformns to the fact that we saw stranger shoot something in the xfactor, and that the creature went to sleep (hence the z signs above its head)

I was amazed at that cover. I can't wait to see what's inside. The closer we get to Stranger, the more excited I get.

When I read about Stranger's boat, I instantly thought of the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, which has the coolest player/boat relationship I've ever seen. I think it would be cool if Stranger's boat mechanics are comparable to Link and his boat, not to mention most of the gameplay in Wind waker(Oddworld style of course.) Has anyone else played that game?
