Just a little nudge though; the original backdrops is AE are fairly dark so the lighter you make these backdrops the worse the mudokons and sligs and such are ganna look against it.
Do you have any of the sprites? Maybe you should ask Josh for one just to see if you can make the two graphics work well. It's better me asking you to do that because ripping out the sprites is time-consuming and I'm no perfectionist.

That one I think is brilliant but I don't advise going much brighter that's all.

I know that it has to fade into darkness but I'm thinking of this as like fog, The first scene I made was based on the idea of making it like in the late afternoon with some steamed effects to it in the factory. I just kinda followed the idea.

Also, I always have a map layout where everything goes, You just don't get to see it. I have sprites of almost everything too.... just not good ones most of the time. But yes I have tested it with Sligs, Mudokons, Explosives and other things.

This is the fully complete screen for the first secret area.

Carnix, this screen should be darker. When I add the foreground the shadows and darkness is added on top.

One thing I notice is the girders, they don't match the foreground, blackvenom ...

The background has not been edited in any way. Black overlays are placed where shadow is and a full screen semi-black overlay is on ALL screens to give them that oddworld look.

As far as I know, BV uses photoshop, he will be online later on, ask him then.

Also, I'm sticking to my words now: No more screens or graphics 'till the demo

Yeah, What Joshkrz said, I used photoshop and a very tiny bit of flash if it might be useful at the time. I made everything entirely from scratch in photoshop except the secret area mudokon face.

It's easy, I used Blending Tools then went to pattern overlay and used a custom pattern to give it a textured look.

Thanks for that blackvenom. And thanks oddey, theres still the animation, spites and special effects to come.

Also this game will be available for Symbian s60 Nokia Phones and other phones that support Flash. It wont be the same, it will be a simpler version.

The game posted above is not compatible with mobile phones as it runs Flash Version 9 whereas mobile phones run Flash Lite 1, 1.1, 2 and 3.

Also any site is phone compatible, sometimes I visit these forums on my phone.

I'm sure the new demo might be coming out VERY soon with our current progress. We still got some minor things to work on along with a few major things before we can release the next demo.

But to be sure, We will truly have to wait till Joshkrz can tell us because even I don't know when he is going to release it. All I know is that it will be soon.
