Might as well share this with you lot.
Out of the weird stuff I normally dream, I dreamed that OWI re-released MO. Nothing special and it wasn't very long, but anyway...
In the context of the dream, it was completely out of the blue - They just announced it and out it came. OWF went ballistic of course. :P In the dream, I watched some videos online. It seemed to be using a majorly updated version of Stranger's game engine, with immersive environments, underwater levels, and amazing creatures that not only behaved seemingly as they should but looked amazing too, like the whole game was just one whole FMV. All the cut scenes were done within the engine (But which game doesn't do that these days?).
You could play either Abe or Munch, but when you were controlling one, the other would follow you around but was controlled by the AI and would take action based on what the AI thought was best, although you could use the gamespeak to give basic commands. However you could swap main control between each character at any time, and sometimes each character would split off and do levels by themselves.
I remember that Abe's movements, physics and abilities were similar to those he had in AE and AO while possession worked in a similar way - Except you had a little icon to select which creature you wanted to try to possess within a certain radius of Abe. Abe's role in the game revolved mostly around him possessing things for some reason, in order to assist Munch, rather than being a main character. Occasionally he'd encounter and rescue enslaved mudokons, but I dreamed that it wasn't the main part of the game and was more of a sidequest.
Munch's movements on the other hand seemed a lot different to his movements in the original MO - The portion of the game with Munch in it started with him in a wheelchair which Abe had to push around and protect (I think the first level was Abe being sent off to get Munch and having to sneak his way into Vykker's Labs, much like the original). Munch could take over machinery using his plug (like the original), but when the game first began, he could only take over small machines (including sligs pants, lol), progressing to larger machines as the mechanical possession skill increased with each level passed.
I dreamed there was an intermission level of sorts, almost like a bonus level which the player had an option to skip. While Abe was waiting for Munch's leg to heal, he could explore the Monsaic Lines, talk to people, listen to conversations between mudokons (like with NPCs in towns in Stranger), and accept up to 3 different "quests" of sorts from other mudokons within the Lines, which mostly consisted of ridding an area of industrialists, or getting an item from a certain place (Bit like Warcraft, really, probably 'cause I've been playing a lot of that - And perhaps if this was a real feature in an Oddworld game, it'd distract too much from the main game itself even if it was skippable, but it would add more depth to it).
Out of the wheelchair and on land, Munch was slow and cumbersome, and Abe had to wait for him all the time, although in the water he swam fast and was able to dive far down to reach underwater switches and items (and I dreamed that some of these underwater levels looked fantastic, even the industrial ones).
Something else interesting about Munch is that he was unable to activate Bird Portals, even if he could jump through them. Only Abe was able to do so.
Still, dreams are just that. Dreams. :P And some features I dreamed of didn't make sense or would've been feasible in an Oddworld game.
