I woke up at 5:35 this morning with a horrific burning sensation in my throat. Like I'd just swallowed a mouthful of red-hot sand. And also a splitting headache. Which is why I'm here and not at school. DX BUT I LIKE SCHOOL!
I went to sleep again till about 9:30, by which the ehadache had ceased, though my throat still feels all inflamed and swollen. Which is my excuse for being on the computer and not in bed right now.

I've always said I'd never get an iPod. Sure, they're sexy devices but they're way too trendy for my liking. My first mp3 player was a Creative one. So was the second, replaced under warrantee after the first died a painful death from falling. Which, come to think of it, is also how the second Creative one died - on the Ellis Island ferry. MP3 #3 was a Sony NW-HD5; a totally awesome player. Check out the reviews; the only bad thing any one can say about it is that you have to use the Sony software...

BioShock was without a doubt one of this year's titles everyone was looking forward to. Previews all looked very promising and by all accounts this would be a very special game. I have less than four weeks until I depart for three months in Europe. It has crept up on me, and as such, I do not have either of my passports ready.

I am only today going to visit the Irish Consulate here in Sydney to submit my application. It is going to take an expected four weeks to process, by which time I am supposed to be in London.

Either way, I'll get there. And I'll be able to travel and work, and meet up with the forum members I actually like
