Passport Woes

I have less than four weeks until I depart for three months in Europe. It has crept up on me, and as such, I do not have either of my passports ready.

I am only today going to visit the Irish Consulate here in Sydney to submit my application. It is going to take an expected four weeks to process, by which time I am supposed to be in London.

Either way, I'll get there. And I'll be able to travel and work, and meet up with the forum members I actually like

Ugh! Visited the Irish Consulate! My father's birth certificate was insufficient. It is the only one he has ever had, but apparently it is in 'short form'.

So now I need to apply for a new certificate to be sent to me. Which they claim will take three or four weeks!

It looks as if I may have to travel on a visa instead and await my Irish passport while in London.

You don't have to go all the way to Europe to visit me! I'm only in Queensland!

But I could understand why you wouldn't want to come. Queensland drivers...
