It's difficult!

I recently read on the newspaper that apparently break up pain is really quite physical and literal.
Anyway good luck with mending your pain.

Urgh, exams. I've got five of the fuckers next month.

That's what my stupid, piece of shit boss kept telling me until I told him to go fuck himself.

Awwww lovely I know the feeling I found it hard enough spliting up with my ex and we were only together for 6 months. Yeah OASNT your right "You have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps" is bullshit. People (well I did) just needed time till things stop hurting as much. My breakup still hurts me a little but I'm with somebody who loves em much more so that makes things easier

My second breakup still affects me badly 2 months on. My first (much cleaner) breakup took me nearly a year to fully get over even after starting a new relationship half-way through that year. And yes, it's pretty damned hard - I know your pain. Depending on how stable you are, you'll get over it eventually. How long it'll take depends on how much it hurt you and how messy it was - So you've just gotta grit your teeth and grieve until you come to terms with it.

Find decent, worthwhile things to do with yourself, and don't let yourself slip too far into a depressive rut. Relationships are odd things.

Mine will absolutely be the death of me.

Mine hurt like hell for two years, until I realized that the only reason why it was still hurting was because I'd gotten used to that and wouldn't let it not hurt.

Then I facebook stalked her and laughed at how ugly her current boyfriend is.

I think back to my relationship with my ex. Sure there were good times and I was madly in love with him. But it's how he treated me towards the end of our relationship that makes me feel glad I'm not with him anymore and that I've found somebody much better that loves me more

I still beat everyone for the title of most traumatizing breakup ever though.

I liked the bit where she was half brainwashed to ask her mom to tell my mom that she was breaking up with me and changing her email because I was dangerous.

Also apparently her little sisters now think I'm a pedopile.

I was being sarcastic.

OANST gave me this piece of sort of inspiration at the time. He said that the hurt is relative to how deep your feelings were beforehand.

It helped me put things in perspective.

I don't remember saying that, but yeah. Sounds about right.

Oh, god. You have no idea. The entirety of my life is what must look like totally unnecessary melodrama to any onlooker. Hell, I'm exhausted with listening to myself.
