Break ups suck, yes. Not much else that can be said for them really. Short of landing in jail or killing yourself everything is permitted to get over losing someone you held dear IMO.

It's his loss, the reason he fell for you in the first place was for you. If he can no longer see that, he's a blind fool who deserves the gallows (I've pictured ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends in this scene, very satisfying).
