I disagree. I probably edit more than half my posts, after spotting typos or thinking of a better way to express myself.

Then again, admins don't get that message when they edit posts, so I agree with you.

Plus... how admins aren't really 'cool' or anything has everything to do with it.

I edit my posts because I often miss out words. Then again I probably edit them more so because of how I fuck up links/miss out vital information when writing helpful guides or answering questions.

I always check the spelling, and proofread for accuracy and appropriateness of content, but my typo-spotting skills have degraded in recent years.
