I just cut my own hair

Figured I'd try, I hate going to the barber/salon (depends on the day) and not knowing what to get, OR, trying to explain a picture I saw somewhere to the hairdresser and getting 'kinda' what I want. I just now spent about an hour in front of the mirror trimming my own hair, AND.....

I love it! It came out just how I imagined I wanted it to look.

Also I had a similar experience, but my results were not nearly as satisfactory. I've had my hair cut in layers for the last decade of my life, so I can't really tie it up in a ponytail like I want to. I tried evening it out, I ended up just making it worse.

Layers as in not all the same length so that you get a slight slanted effect on your hair. Not nearly as extreme as that though.
My bangs are at least three inches shorter than the rest of my hair, which is a problem when you wanna tie it back.
