Who remembers the old NES classic? Better yet, who remembers playing it?
This game kicked my ass as a kid, but a wonderful plot and killer music both did it have. For those who don't remember it or who have never played it, the game is set in the tropical South Pacific. The main character, Mike, goes to visit his uncle Steve at his laboratory on "C Island" when he finds that he's been kidnapped by evil aliens. His adventure takes him from island to island with only a yoyo as a main weapon which leads him to a battle to defeat the aliens and not only save his Uncle, but he also saves a race of benign aliens who have come to earth because their planet had been destroyed.
Anyway, enjoy this "16 bit" rehash of the Startropics level background music.
This struck me so badly now that I'm going to go download and play it. Good times!
I never had a Nintendo of any kind until the Wii came along. I had a Windows 95 which ran whatever I wanted. Like Pinball, Descent and some disney stuff... I love 3D Ultra Pinball.
Yeah, you had to get the letter wet in order to reveal the frequency, 747mhz, to find Dr. J's location at a certain point in the game.
Cool beans OANST. I remember going to the JC Penney's electronics dept with my mom who was going to buy me a nintendo game. I ended up getting Mickey Mousecapades and she wanted to get StarTropics because she thought it looked interesting. Well, she got it for me the following Christmas :P Fell in love.
