Dunno if you've seen this already, but since I didn't know what you guys were talking about, I researched it and came across this link that seemed fairly helpful.. It tells you how, in some instances to fix the problem yourself.

Ring of death if what Xbox 360'ers apparently refer to having the start-up-button light red instead of green... I think.

My original Xbox started doing that. Its warranty had long since expired. I blame GTA: San Andreas. Driving fast through the city would crash my Xbox, the first and only time that's ever happened. And then it refused to wake up. Damn fucking Rockstar.

Towel method.

Wrap in towel, turn on for about half an hour. Turn off, remove towel. Play. Temporary fix.

At least until you save up enough money or whatever you need to do.

It looks like im not the one who will buy an xbox 360... Too many errors.

Microsoft extended the warranty with respect to RRoDs, so depending on at which stage you bought your 360, you might still be covered. Give MS a call and check with them.

I did. I bought my 360 at launch.

Besides, I think I'd rather go with a new console.
