Where the Wild Things Are

Posted 04-05-2009 at 06:59 PM by Nate
I loved the book as a kid and was very excited when I heard that Spike Jonze was directing a movie version. Then it died a slow, painful death.

But now it's back, with both a trailer and a release date!

I've been keeping a skeptical eye on this, and thanks to this trailer, my fears have been eased.

That, and I fucking love James Gandolfini.

Thanks.

Come on over and I'll show you a real wild thing.

I'm waiting for the Star Trek movie, and I'm not really a trekkie.

They're turning a picture book, which takes like a minuet to read, into a full length movie?

'Where The Wild Things Are' is not, IS NOT a picture book which takes a minute to read. It is fucking art. And so it is life.

And Sendak is fucking hilarious. Seriously. Read some interviews with that guy.
