Okay everyone, tell us all about the greatest April Fool's Day Joke you've ever done or seen. I mean funny jokes, not ones that are just cruel.

I don't think that this is a joke because it hit the news yesterday but it seems weird enough. The Australian Minister for Immigration Amanda Vanstone got in trouble yesterday because she had a bunch of refugee kids for a big PR breakfast and she fed them chocolate croissants. Yes that's right, chocolate croissants. Personally I don't see what the problem is.

This one is my favourite prank but it needs to be done with a group of people towards one or a few others who don't know it. It seems to work best if done to people of the female variety.

In normal conversation drop in a mention of the movie "The Protector". If they don't pick up on it, try it again another day (don't do it too soon or it will look obvious). If they ask you what movie you mean, act incredulous that they have never seen it and start talking about Whitney Houston starring as a singer and Kevin Costner as her 'Protector'. If they tell you that that movie is called 'The Bodyguard' tell them that they are thinking of another movie. Then continue describing The Bodyguard as best you can, up to and including singing the song 'And IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIII will always love youOUOOUOUOU" as badly as possible. If they still insist that you are wrong start asking your friends what they think. Of course, they will agree with you so the victim will bring in their friends to agree with them. You and your friends must then create as much confusion as possible by arguing as loudly as possible, recounting the plot, making mentions of the phrases "Academy Awards", "laser gun in a camera", "No, really it was his friend all along", "Silver armout in the music video", "and then they kissed at the end", "Kevin Costner in a sling at the airport", "Tom Green and a dead moose" and finally 'And IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIII will always love youOUOOUOUOU". Feel free to argue amongst yourself about plotlines just to confuse things ever further. Remember: the movie you are talking about is not "The Bodyguard". That is another movie. You can make up a plot for that if you want.

Eventually you will get the victim to a wonderful point where they start doubting that they are correct.

ADVANCED LEVEL: This is one you do alone, without telling your friends. Right in the middle of the loudest discussion yell out "NO, you're thinking of the movie with Whoopi Goldberg playing the psychic, 'Spirit'" and try and get someone who is in on the original joke to fall for it and unthinkingly respond with "No that's Ghost!" before realising what you have done and feeling a bit silly. What can I say, it worked on me.

Anyway, I pulled of a great prank one day getting both some guy I did'nt even knew and the police (how great is that? Prank the police).
Ok, here is what you do:
Be on the lookout for some official street maintainance, if possible with few ppl working there. Walk up to one persone with some easy noticeble markings (like being the only one with an hard had). Tell the guy that a friend of yours will be coming soon dressed as a police officer by meaning of an april fools joke and that your 'friend' doesn't expect him to know.
Then go get a drink on a local terras or get a bench out of sight then call the police with the message that one of your friends is working on the street as a april fools joke but that he is going a bit far.

Now sit back and enjoy the show of two ppl accusing each other of being an april fools joke.
When I pulled this one of with a friend we totaly cracked up on the terras making them know rather fast and we had to get out a there fast. We must have laughed 4 days afterwerds

well the funniest thing ive done on april fools day is what my signature says, only at school. actually it got us beat up..... anywho, one of my favorite thing to do is that old um.. man what was it called?!?!? oh well ill think of it. but speakin of the fools day, i have a piano recital tommorow, april 1. man i just know their gonna stick a whoopee cushion under me.oh well.

You're completely right of course. You shouldn't restrict pranks to only one day a year. It's like only getting pissed on Saint Patrick's Day

Joke Teller:
[makes mock phone ringing sound]

[proceeds to getting imaginary mobile from pocket, "answers" it.]

Absolutely halarious, but only because it shocks you into laughter. Must be the british humour - unless other people find it funny.
However, it probably doesnt seem funny when written. its just because its so unexpected.
Rather insesnsitive if your Mother is not of top-notch health, however.

i do this course called AVCE ICT and i thought it would be a good laugh to play a prank on a friend (for a laugh ) so i got a templete of a letter head from a exam company who produce are exams saying that my friend had been kicked off the course for cheating it the last exam signed by the teacher confriming it...it went down well after all the swearing had stopped

in English, we all "fell asleep"

in Reading we switched seats

and In science, two girls tried to get the whole class to sing the Barney song and only one girl did it, she was soooooooooooooo

April Fools seems to be an excuse to do extremely unfunny "jokes", where I live... Geh. Bring back the polo adverts, which demanded you had to write off for your Polo-hole-filling-kits because EU law had banned food with holes in, as you were gtting less than you paid for. :P

April Fool's Day is so much more worthwhile than Hallowe'en. Damned Trick or Treating.

Halloween is just an excuse for overly horny husbands to see their wives in sexy outfits. It also seems to be an excuse for street vandalism, violence among kids, and scaring old women witless.

In school yesterday (April Fools day) I played the prank of the day; This kid named Walter (I total friggin' geekoid) was sitting minding his own business reading some Javascript manual and I turned around and said "Hey Walter, your hair is on backwards" and he actually checked his hair! Everyone who was watching laughed histerically, Walter was pissed and I kept telling different people what I said to him. By the end of the day; everyone and their grandma knew what I said to him and were recreating the moment. I don't think he'll ever live that down!
