Hand of Odd is a planned strategy game by OWI that includes either playing as industrialists or Natives trying to persue your particular goal - of destruction and profits or preservation and happiness.

OWI isn't working on Hand of Odd as far as we know. It is planned, but right now OWI is working on OW4.

How do we know that Hand of Odd will be the fifth OW game? Plans may have been changed. Now that Stranger is in production, and what we know from the Polygon article, we're possibly in for a couple more Stranger games.

And only 14 players? Wassup wit dat?!

At the time, Munch's Exoddus was planned as the fourth game to be released after Munch's Oddysee. Therefore, when Hand of Odd was projected by Oddworld Inhabitants to be released straight after Munch's Exoddus, it made sense that it would be the fifth game.

At the time, I'm guessing that was what was believed to be true. Maybe the complexity of the game limited the amount of players that could play at once (as Oddworld games have many things working in the background - or would have, had the original Munch's Oddysee been released). Maybe with the Xbox, an unlimited amount is achieveable.

However, Hand of Odd could be scrapped for all we know.

Alcar...

That would be sad. Maybe when the technology gets better, we'll be able to experience the games OWI had planned early on.
