I'll just add a few. Reaching or limiting to something like 10 for anything is a pain.

UHF- Hilarious. It might also be worth mentioning all of the actors are stars in modern times.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off- Classic.
Ronin- Some of the best and most realistic shootouts and car chases.
The Fog- Old, but great. And scary.
Toy Story- Well, shit. Used to, every time I was sick during the evening, I would watch this.
The "Back To The Future" and "Indiana Jones" trilogies. Classic Sci-fi and adventure, respectively.
Daredevil- Great characterization, awesome fight scenes, and a very enjoyable movie overall.

Any movie with Ben Affleck in it can't be that good.

:

I love that movie, I think they made it plenty scary without a ton of special effects.

When that old lady opens the door and there's nothing but fog and the arm reaches out and kills her----scary!!!

Lesse, in no particular order:

1. The Butterfly Effect
2. Signs
3. Princess Mononoke
4. The Iron Giant
5. The Matrix (number 1)
6. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
7. The Abyss
8. Jurassic Park 1-3
9. Brain Candy (the Kids in the Hall movie)
10. Lord of the Rings 1-3

We are The Knights Who Say... NI! We are the keepers of the sacred words NI!, PENG!, and NEEEE-wom!

The Butterfly Effect is basically about this kid who has led an absolutely awful life. His father has an unheard-of disease which causes him to black out often, and during one such black-out, he murders some people. So this kid inherits the disease: sometimes, he completely blacks out, and when he wakes up, he's holding a knife or lying on the ground or something. His psychologist, who also worked with his father, tells him to write down everything that happens in these composition books because it might help the memory loss, so he does. From about second grade, all the way through his teen years, when he moves away from the town this all starts in, into his adult life. Now he's in college, he's twenty-something, and his life is pretty much trash. He's doing okay, taking classes, doing well, but it's like it's just empty. So one day he starts looking back through all his old diaries, and he comes to a page about one of the more terrible events in his life. As he's reading, the world around him starts to come apart, and suddenly he's back to that day, living it again. He soon realizes he can actually go back to these terrible events which, in the end, lost him his friends and his life, and change them. But for some reason, every time he goes back and changes something, some random event gets thrown into the mix, and changes everything again, making his future as horrible as it had been before. This is a seriously disturbing movie, but it is extremely good. The ending is worth it. You must go see it. It's just awesome. Good acting, too.

Ohhh! Another Forrest Gump fan.

  • LOTR trillogy - Well, not so much the movie as the story. Read the book!
  • Forrest Gump - This may well be my very favorite.
  • Armageddon - Funny movie.
  • Monty Python - The Life of Brian - Funny movie - If I were as unresponsive as a rock. Hillarious!
  • Jurrassic park 1 - I like the dinosaurs.
  • Ferris Bueller's Day Off - A very funny movie - better than Armageddon but not quite at The Life of Brian level.
  • Happy Gilmore - Another very funny movie.

Gah! Signs. That was awful. Or, at least when it came to the end, anyways. And the whole Daredevil thing... T'was meant as a joke to see how many people protested.

Oh, and anybody who even considers saying Runaway Jury or Head State, I will personally castrate you. I was at my cousins house, and according to him Ferris Bueller is "...quite possibly one of the worst movies ever." So instead we watched the above, both of which sucked ass. Serious ass. Like a hooker. A black hooker.
