Bigface & Spirituality

One of the things that really entranced me into Abe's Oddysee was the whole spiritual feel of it. The Monsaic Lines, Scrabania and Paramonia had a really beautiful atmosphere to them. The cutscenes with Bigface were fantastic and it inspired awe in me for the Mudakon race. I was disappointed not to see this recaptured in Abe's Exoddus... why did they scrap the whole Bigface idea? And, more importantly, do they bring any of it back in in Munch's Oddysee?

Yes, I know I ask a lot of questions, but I'm trying to decide whether to get MO or not. The XBOX IS very expensive, after all.

We have NO problem in you asking questions. You want to know something, just ask, that's what most of us do.

As for the spirituality thing, I liked that too, but I also like the whole industrial feel as well. I like to see how the glukkons make their money and organise stuff, and out in the wild, the only form of industry is Alf's rehab and tea and the paramonian back market, lol. Although the glukkons are slowly taking over the wildlife and native environments as well. A good example of this is the gabbits and the lung cutting stuff, plus the sligs gaurding native areas such as the entrances to the paramonian and scrabanian temple. I'd like to see the glukkons get run out of business, lol.

Lorne say that the games will be more and more to metroplos so, no much more spirituality... But Glukk's are cool to...

There was still spiritual stuff in AE
Instead of BigFace this time we got the Wierdos, Abe's spiritual ancestors who've asked him to redeem the honor of their race and another tattoo which gave Abe the power of Healing and introduced the first makeshift Shamans...

And that will return in MO...one of the first updates on the launch countdown was the cool looking Mudokon Shaman who gives advice (the "help" command of MO) and I don't know if that stuff is still there but the rainmaking and stuff was there.

I don't think it lost it's spirituality, and I think we have to realize even though Abe still plays a large role this is Munch's Oddysee. I think it would be a good idea instead of controlling THREE characters next time (like some people think, me excluded) you can have Abe be the HUB character of Oddworld always returning to help the new main character since Mudokons are a big part of the story of oddworld and the most humanoid so we can relate.

That's my Two Moolah

I've always wonderd what Big Face looked like without his mask. I bet he's all wrinkley and has sagging skin. Guh, I'm rambling now, aren't I?
