I'm at the part where I first use the minecar. But I need help getting past all those sligs and motion detectors without killing the mudokens!

I think I know which part you're talking about. This one is a tuffy! Anyway, leave your minecar on the screen before you get to the one with the slig, mines and mudokons. Got it? Now, quicksave baby. Okay, roll to the next screen and make sure the slig's back is turned while you un-arm the mines. After you quickly un-arm the mines, roll back to the screen with your mine car and quicksave again. Now, go the the very edge of the screen with the slig in it and make sure he see's you. Once the slig see's you, he'll start chasing you. Quiclky run back to the screen with your minecar and jump inside the minecar. Once the slig shows up in your screen to shoot ya, it's too late! Make a slig pancake with your mine car! Ta Da!

EDIT: when you first see the minecar it's heavily guarded with UXB bombs, don't waste time deactivating them one by one, just hop over them, who cares if you wake up the sligs, they can't reach you.
