Will There Be an Oddworld game on the Moon?

Does anyone think that an Oddworld game will ever happen on the Mudos moon? I mean, wouldn't it be cool to have a little Mud walking in the handprint? Wouldn't it?

I don´t know. But I think the moon will be a important role in the future games. That mudokon hand in her face would have a important significance

I highly doubt that there will ever be a game taking place on an Oddworldian moon. It would be pretty boring...I can just see it now...screen after screen after screen of rock. There wouldn't be any real scenery. Plus, I don't think any inhabitant would be able to breathe there, unless they wore space suits or something, but I can't really imagine that happening. So, no, I don't think that we'll see any ihabitants on the moon, during or after the Quintology.

hey...this sounds really a bit stupid for me... i think nothing is crazier than Oddworld, and this game on the Moon will be (maybe) boring.
Just the turbid landscape and not the big forests with dangerous animals

You cant go on the moon in the game but the moon will still play a big part in the future OW games. Because this is the same moon that cost abe to fall down and die. And meet his destiny

what if the glukks sent a group of miners up there to change the shape of the handprint to match their own? that'd be pretty cool...

on the other hand, there'll be a moon for each of the 5 heroes, so i don't think they'll bother travelling up there.

I love to eat corn dogs!

It will be kinda gravy and not so mash potatoes and gravy. Abe would be like skipping, all through the game, and he could easily get killed.....I like it!

I just can't see an Oddworld game taking place on the moon or in outer space for that matter. It just doesn't seem to go with the game. Oddworldians (in particular Glukkons and Vykkers) have much technology, but space ships don't seem to fit in IMO.

Also, since the Moon is held sacred, it would seem like it is not a place that is going to be visited and inhabited.

I think the Moon (or Moons if there are other Moons) will continue to play a spirtual role in the games however as it has done in the past.

Abe Babe...

Except for the Vykker's space ship, of course. I wonder if Vykkers originate from Oddworld, or if they come from another planet.

I vaguely recall it being said that Vykker's travel across the Solar System that Oddworld is a part of, but I may be mistaken.

I also can't envision a game taking place on an Oddworldian moon. It would be boring; craters and endless plains of moondust.

sydman you may be right but i hope your wrong, i want oddworld to have nothing to do with space and other planets. I want all the creatures of oddworld to relate and stay at oddworld. It should be a sci-fi-fantasy not some stupic space invaders meets die hard!

A new moon theory...

Maybe, there are big underground caverns under the oddmoon, with air, water, plants that don't need light (It's an odd idea, but so is oddworld!) and dangerous, new creatures!

And maybe, the glukkons are then searching for something in those caverns, so add some industrial buildings and sligs, slogs, glukkons, etc there. Maybe the moon is not so boring!

personally, i wouldn't mind going to the moon as long as it wasn't for a whole game...maybe stowing away on a Vykker saucer, rescuing a few things and meeting someone, then back on the next ship back maybe to somewhere out of Mudos...

Every step the Glukkons take seems to be more and more disrespectful to the Mudokons and their beliefs... first making them slaves, then planning to turn them into foodstuff, then digging up the bones of their ancestors to make into a drink... since the moon is the one thing the Mudokons can always look to as a reminder of their past, while the Glukkons attempt to destroy any other remainders of their culture, exploiting the moon would be the next obvious thing for them to do. Of course there would have to be a reason, the Glukkons wouldn't go there unless there was a chance of economical gain, but there could be untapped resources held up there. There's no need to believe it's a barren lump of rock like our moon. The Oddworld moon is an important spiritual symbol, but since as the games get more complex it's likely they'll explore that side of things in more detail, visiting the source of that spiritualism might make for an interesting story and explain a little more about Mudokon history.

There are lots of moons around Oddworld. You can see over 20 of them in the Free-Fire zone alone. They needn't all be rock and crater. They could be lush and fertile. I don't see anyone going there from Oddworld, but seeing that place all on its own would certainly be interesting. Remember, it's an Oddworld, not just an Oddplanet.

That Would kinda gay, because they are aliens anyways, and they would have to wear some funky spiffy moon gear or something.
