draw shapes and lines frst

erase extra lines

as for shading push harder for shadows, but not too hard

use extra outlining in areas you cant distinguish

erase things you not happy with and correct them

smudge shading a bit with your finger if nessecsry

add black pen in dark areas

be carful to erase and dont smudge pen ink

add finishing touches like other lines and shadows below the drawing

eat a crab, save the shell parts, tape the shell parts to your hand, draw your hand??? *G*

Many artists work from models even when they are skilled enough to work from their imagination. Practice first drawing all your toys. Study multiple point perspective techniques , especially elipses! Carry a sketchbook with you everywhere you go, draw, draw, draw!

I'll move this over to Fan Corner for you ... as there's a lot of artists there who will be able to give you some advice.

I'm trying to draw some stuff myself, but haven't been motivated lately.
